This restaurant is noisy!! Don't even think about talking to your dining companions. The music is atrocious. Food isn't up to much either - they have downsized the portions and quality since I last ate there.

Helpful Check waiter. Spoiled by the fact he didn't know what Chiquita meant.
Food edible, no meat (carne) with Chile con carne, also forgot the guacamole.
A Mexican would never eat here, an English idea of Mexican, poor.

As a big Chiquitos fan, I chose to go for our wedding anniversary meal! Wish we hadn't bothered. The quality of food has gone down since our last visit, to such a poor quality we had to send our starter back (nachos to share)we then waited an hour for our main course (which had been given to another table?!) and when that finally arrived it was awful, and my fries were not sweet potatoes, so they bought an over cooked bowl "on the house"?!?! (Chimichanga). We complained, which is unlike us, and the manager was charming (the only reason I gave 2stars not 1). We were not charged and given a voucher for a future visit. If we ever return that is .....

Came here with my family and there is such a big variety of food to choose off the menu which is great as we all got to choose something we like. The atmosphere was really lovely and the restaurant is decorated to make you feel the Mexican theme☺️ there wasn't a long wait at all on the food and it was all very yummy when it came out. The staff could of been a bit quicker when coming to take our order but that is the only criticism. Would defiantly come here again!

When this restaurant first opened we visited and were thoroughly impressed. It was clean, modern, something different & keen to please.

Well a lot seems to have changed over the last few months ...

We have now visited the restaurant several times & it has actually been a bit of a family favourite, the kids like going there because of the hats!

The last three visits have been fairly disastrous ...

On one occasion completely the wrong order was brought out to us, we appreciate human error but it was clear that the waiter hadn't listened when we had ordered. We gave them the benefit of the doubt - we all have off days after all! The correct meals were brought out to us & the second round of drinks that we had ordered - one of which the waiter managed to spill all over our 5 year old daughter!! Needless to say we ate, paid & left as soon as we could to get her home & changed and were left rather dissatisfied with the whole experience.

Assuming that this was a one off we visited the restaurant again about a month later.
This time the kids meals (popcorn chicken) was absolutely cremated.
It was very busy inside & by the time a waitress was actually available to flag down everybody else had eaten their food, so the kiddies ate the chips & beans and left the chicken.
The waitress wouldn't remove this from the bill & just said oh well they can fill up on pudding.

We actually complained via email this time, were apologised to & given a £20 voucher towards our next visit. This was sent via email.

So today what with it being a miserable bank holiday Monday we decided to visit the restaurant & eat there after our cinema visit....

The Burger was cremated (that chef must set of the fire alarms a lot ;-)) we asked the waitress for a fresh one which they did. However this then meant that we didn't actually get to eat as a family. The wife & kids didn't wait as their food wasn't even particularly hot to begin with.

On paying & using our voucher, we were accused of it being fake and all in all yet another crappy visit to Chiquitos at Ransomes Euro park in Ipswich.

The food portions have gone down in size & quality. The chef seems to burn a lot of the food. And the waitress's have an attitude problem.

There is no point complaining to the restaurant as we will just get given a £20 voucher to use off the next time we go & purchase some cremated crap. So instead we shall just avoid like the plague and tell all of our friends, family, staff, colleagues & 40,000 followers on Twitter to do the same.

Such a shame that what begins as a quality place can go down hill so quickly and lose the lack of customer service skills.

Adios Amegos!!
