“Quality with value for money in an ideal location”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

This hotel is situated at the edge of the Quayside development (across one road) and the edge of the main town centre ( about 5 minutes walking). Ideal location as everything is just an easy walk away. Car parking ample (two car parks one of which is under the hotel but the one outside also has security cameras).

The hotel is new, clean but when only costing £29 for a Friday night is great value for money. The staff are really friendly and helpful - nothing too much trouble.

Definite recommendation and will use this one again.

We stayed here as a family for two nights at February half term. The location is very central with convenient free parking which actually saved a fair amount on parking fees. The hotel is walking distance to the town centre, quayside and a leisure park with multiscreen cinema and many restaurant chains (parking here is very expensive, just 5 min walk from hotel).

The room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. Although the hotel is situated between two roads that run very close to the hotel windows, we didn't notice any road noise and had two good nights sleep. Security was good and swipe keys were needed to get through doors to the rooms.

The check in staff were extremely helpful and polite and gave us directions to restaurants and general information about the hotel. The room was cleaned thoroughly during our stay and tea/coffee amenities were replenished.

This is a budget hotel and in our opinion, represents excellent value for money. We would definitely stay again.

Centrally located hotel for business or pleasure. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, in fact everything one would expect from a Premier hotel. Plenty of local restaurants to choose from. A 10 minute level walk into the centre of Ipswich and only 2 minutes walk from quayside bars and restaurants.

I have stayed in several Premier Inns, and I can wholeheartedly recommend this one. Friendly, caring staff and the usual comfy bed and surroundings. Fantastically located near the historic waterfront and the new brewery, this hotel has it all!

Stayed last week for one night. We requested a quite room on the top floor and were given room 501. The Hotel is fairly new & the room was excellent ,the price more than fair. The staff were well trained & Emma outstanding...nothing too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant which was adequate but the Quay literally across the road had a number of restaurants of note. The Hotel does have plenty of car park space ,some under cover so it is worth while persevering with the one way traffic system .A city centre hotel which delivers.

Room Tip: Top floor overlooking the Quay

I stayed at the hotel not too long ago, and never been to a premier inn before. I had an experience of a lifetime, the food was lovely, and hotel room was clean, and what i would expect. On reception i come across two lovely young ladies, who had a huge smile on their faces which was very welcoming. One of the young ladies had a training badge on(reneta?), but seemed like she had been working there for quite some time as she, was welcoming and knew exactly what she was doing, also offering to take our bags which was very thoughtful. And the other member helped her out whenever she needed (Ely?)
Plesant stay, will be coming back again.

Room Tip: 5th floor no noise whatsoever.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Hotel is nice, new and well located in the town centre. Check in was ok, just handed the key and that was it. Room was good, clean - everything you can except from a premier inn. Restaurant is cosy with a limited menu. Food was ok - the service was very nice, especially Bianka the waitress, she explained us everything and was friendly and welcoming (Kristy was great too !). We had breakfast both days and it was good. Plenty of food and again same friendly service from Bianka. Really good stay until the last night. The police came and knocked at our door at midnight ! Probably looking for somebody.. My husband opened the door but we were obviously sleeping ! It was then hard to go back to sleep as we could hear people slamming the doors for couple of hours ! We decided to tell the receptionist at check out. She called the manager who didn't even apologise and just ask "do you want your money back ?" - we said yes and another receptionist (Elly) came to do the refund. The manager then disappeared! The receptionist clearly not believed us when we said the police had knocked at our door in the middle of the night !!! She said the police wasn't there ! - why would we lie ?! She was rude and not professional at all. Certainly not what you expect when something like that happens. While she was doing the refund, another receptionist (long dark hair with an "in training" badge) was standing next to her with a cup of coffee ! Unprofessional. The girls in the restaurant were nice and friendly - maybe the receptionists should take exemple on them... We will certainly not go back.
