Had a great evening here this week. First time since changing from previous owners and was not disappointed. Was a Groupon offer of "speciality burger" & wine. I have to say that the burger was the best I've tasted, cooked medium, which was slightly pink inside. Home made onion rings again, the best I've tasted and also home made chips.
Staff were great.
Will definitely visit again.

Great food and lovely friendly service. The no1 burger was delicious. Crispy prawns with chilli sauce was exceptional - large juicy, freshly cooked prawns and deeply flavoured sauce - made a pleasant change from the usual deep fried frozen fair you get in other places! Great sound track playing in the background - I would recommend that you give No1 Bar a try sometime soon!

My wife, daughter (10yrs) and I were looking for somewhere nice to have Saturday lunch and found this hidden away. It was full when we arrived but were offered to sit at the bar, the menu had a good selection of choice, the wine was good and Peroni on draught. A table came free and we moved, the barman came and made sure they knew the table no. and our food was delivered promptly, and was very nice.
Comfy, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly staff - we will return :-)

Friday 13th and we are drinking at No 1 Bar on Elm Street. But all was well. We got there for happy hour and had cider and wine between us. Only house wine but still fine. Sat outside and watched the world go by being kept warm with their patio heaters. Worth a visit.
