My wife had been here several times, and finally we visited together for a mid-week lunch. We selected from the short but interesting set lunch menu. Three or four choices for each course, and at an excellent fixed price for 2 or 3 courses. The starters and main courses were attractively presented and interesting and tasty. I guess they could be considered quite small by some, but are really the right size for a lunch. We had two glasses of (Turkish) wine, red and white. The white mentioned sultanas in the description, and when I inquired whether it was dry, the friendly and efficient waitress brought me a small tasty glass. It was fine so she brought a full glass, rather than topping up - classy service. We couldn't decide on which 2 of the 3 desserts to have, so asked if we could have an extra pud, so we could sample all of them. This was no trouble and we had a lovely large plate with all 3 - all of which were really excellent.
I gave it 5 stars, not because it is Michelin star status - but it was a 1st class lunch at an excellent price. Recommended

Really used to like this place, but since the change of hands the food has stayed tasty but very very small portions, service was slow and not with a smile so not going back

Beautiful setting but very disappointing. The shredded duck starter was almost completely batter, very small pieces of bread and the rest very bland. The main course was ok but very over priced, as was the house wine. 5misshapen chips...are they serious! Red pen to indicate the toilets is a disgrace! How much does it cost for signs. Very over priced, I can get a lot better value for money at many other restaurants in Ipswich I will not be recommending this restaurant.

We booked at Turquoise not knowing what to expect but can honestly say the food was lovely. We had a mixed meze starter, guided helpfully by our waiter, and 2 of us had lamb and 2 had the half lobster for main courses, both of which were excellent. Only one of us had room for a dessert, the baklava, which apparently was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only sad thing was that it was only about a third full, disappointing for a Saturday night, so come on people of Ipswich - give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Only one small moan - I wish the chairs were more comforable.
