Owner description: Wolsey's Gate is the only remnant of the college founded in the early 16th cent. by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey , who was born in Ipswich.

Although not the most visually overwhelming of sites, its historical value alone rates better than a "terrible." It is an attractive site and worth visiting by Wolseyites and others interested in Ipswich history.

Wooden Tudor gate in brick wall. Historical significance but little else.
