High Tea Cruise – it seems to be incorrectly listed as being based in Felixstowe, in fact the boat depart to and from Ipswich Marina. The Orwell Lady is a spacious two deck former Thames water taxi. The top deck is open and the lower deck is covered although there are steep steps to the lower deck. High tea is available all during the cruise, consisting of a range of sandwich and a large selection of cakes all carefully presented. You can to move between the two decks during your trip. Our cruise passed through Ipswich Haven lock then along the River Orwell to the Port of Felixstowe to look at the container ships up close then across the Harwich, also viewing Shotley marina. There are male and female toilets on board.
I recommend that you do not have a big lunch before taking the high tea cruise due to the large quantity of food you are expected to eat! Tea and coffee is included, however other drinks may be purchased.
A great afternoon cruise lasting approx. 3 ½ hours. However you do need to book in advance, and may not be suitable for the less abled person and very young children due to having to negotiate the stairs.
