It was a lovely place for me to take photographs, which is one of my hobbies. Interesting places like the Custom House. Had some nice buildings, cafes etc.. hope to have more time to explore them next time.

Thank Jackie M

I usually go to the waterfront to meet with friends and have met them at various eateries along the waterfront. I like that there is always something going on and something to watch

Although it was a cold day in December, we wanted to have a look at the waterfront, not having visited Ipswich before. We parked the car in a large car park to the south of the marina and walked along the front past all the bars, cafes and restaurants. Lots to see, especially if you like boats. The new buildings have been sympathetically blended in with the original historical ones, making the area attractive. There is a large choice of places to eat and drink, art galleries, a gift shop, clothes shop. There is also a restaurant on a ship, called Mariners. The University campus has some modern buildings there. I can imagine that on a warm summer's evening this would be a popular and lively place to visit.

I was there during a FIFA game - England won. So it was a festive atmosphere. Had a pint and a burger. Good value. Lovely historic location

There is plenty to do, eating is a must in the numerous bars and fine restaurants.Especially the mariner on the quay side, french cuisine at it best, Isacs is a great lively pub, you can enjoy outside heating seated all year round,
