The Greyhound is a lovely pub with two distinct bar environments. I currently prefer the smaller, darker bar. You can eat in both, and - while the menu is extensive - I almost always go for the cheeseburger with the famous Greyhound chilli. This is tasty and good value comfort food. I'm also a fan of the cheeseboard, which is frequently rotated. I'd advise booking on Fridays through Sundays if you want food (and are a larger group than two).

This is an Adnams pub and carries a wide range of the Southwold brewery's offerings, including spirits and wine. The ale is well kept, and there is usually at least one guest beer.

The bar staff can be a bit hit and miss - some of the staff are friendly and attentive, but it can take a while to get the attention of others (usually the younger staff) when a pint needs refilling.

Overall, though, this is a great pub and often has a decent buzz in the evenings and you can overhear all manner of conversations on life in Ipswich and further afield. Highly recommended - we partly chose our current house based on its proximity to this pub!

I went in to this nice pub for a visit. I had a couple of lovely pints, my colleague had drinks and some food, which we both agreed were nice. Reasonably priced for what you get and a nice pub to go to if you wanna get a little further away from the town centre, although still only 10-15mins walk from same.

Good beer, good range of food options all at sensible prices. Service is fast and cheerful. Can get busy at times so book a table in the evenings.

Went New Year's Eve to see in the new year with a few friends... The drinks were flowing... The owner on the ipad banging out some tunes which ranged from the 60s to modern day... My favourite being cha cha slide which got everyone up dancing and grooving...can't fault this pub for drinks food or staff...

Had the seafood platter which was simply huge and very tasty. Quaint old style pub but worth a visit if you're passing by.
