We stayed here for one night (Saturday) in Room 3. We didn't try the evening food so cannot comment on that, although there appeared to be good sized portions being served. On arrival, the room was cold and smelled damp and musty. The shower was dirty and suffering from black mould, the soap dispenser in the shower cubicle was empty and dirty and black with mould. The towels had seen better days and were of various sizes and colours - none of them bathsheet size! There was no shampoo or shower soap supplied but there was a dispenser of hand soap at the washbasin.
The bedroom curtains didn't meet when closed and as we were on the ground floor, this could present an issue from passersby. Also there was no key available to lock the windows.
The bed was very hard and uncomfortable, the pillows were lumpy and the quilt didn't really fit the bed. The floorboards in the room above were so noisy that every footstep of the upper occupant was clearly heard, especially at 02:30 while we were trying to sleep.
The full English breakfast was OK, although the premises generally did not really convey a feeling of being very clean. Breakfast was served in the pub restaurant/bar - shared by the owner's boxer dog.
Perhaps, one to avoid......
