We booked throughUKbreakaways so thought it would be reasonable. Not so. From the time we tried to find a parking space as their car park was full and we were told by the propieter to park in the WETHERSPOON car park ,several roads away. When we did receive our key to our room, after the reception had taken nearly everyone's dinner requests , we arrived to a hovel. The ensuite filthy, the shower cubicle absolutely disgusting. Mould over the walls etc. The lampshade full of dust and flies. Bedside lamp not working. I could go on for ever but must mention the food. After we had been given our dinner table., no choice of own seating, the fruit juice that was served was the cheapest apple juice, half a wine glass full. Fish and chips, fish so hard unable to cut it, had to break I with my hand to see the fish. All I saw was this grey stuff, totally inedible. Suffice to say my husband's dinner was just the same. We decided not to go down to breakfast the next day but was reliably informed that this too was very poor. Truth to say I don't normally write things like this but felt I have to warn anybody who may be considering this place I have travelled far and wide, but have never ever been in such a place like this. So if you want a decent place to stay DO NOT STAY AT THE WHITEHOUSE LLANDUDNO.

A friend and I visited the Whitehouse House in Aug for a weekend break. The hotel is very tired and needs redecorating throughout but the atmosphere was great. The hotel provide tea & coffee facilities in the bedroom. The bed was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

The staff were all very friendly especially the young girl in the dining room (I think her name is Bea), she always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble.

There was entertainment Friday and Saturday night. Friday nights artist a male vocalist was really quite good vocally but didn't mix with the hotel guests during the interval. The artist on Saturday night was 'Elvis' and was terrible he ruined all the songs that he performed in the words of my friend 'he is a disgrace to the memory of Elvis'.

There was also a game of bingo for hotel residents during concert intervals with prize money of £20 per line and £40 full house. Bar prices were good.

The food at the hotel was good but you have to choose your evening meal while having breakfast. The pot of tea was nice, the coffee not so nice in fact I found it undrinkable.

The hotel is in a great location for all that Llandudno has to offer.

Would we go to the Whitehouse again - YES we would it is a friendly, homely hotel with hardworking staff.

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the front of the hotel, the shopping centre at the back of the hotel has a bell...

We stayed at this hotel last week and the nicest thing that we found was the lovley receptionist (ann) she is a gem must have had first class training in another life because the way the owner paul spoke to her was very rude and uncalled for, we were sitting in the bar area on two occansions and we could hear every snide comment he was making to this very nice and well presented older lady our hearts went out to her, also we hope that you will fix the slope that the old lady fell over paramedic was not impressed we fond the food ok but yet again the attitude of supervisor was terrible to young staff our room needs a good clean but beds were clean thishotel could and should be more cared for and Jackie and paul are a hoot if you are drinkers but to be honest care for your front line staff better and calm down in the red wine area Jackie!!!!!!

Room Tip: Ring ann and only ann if she is still there, she will help you with anything she can bless her!!!

good location, on front near shops and pier. Good food, Friendly staff/excellent proprietors. Comfortable beds - rooms adequate for short stay - clean on arrival, not fully serviced, but OK. Public areas excellent. Entertainment rather poor (same singer 2 nights running) on the first 3 nights, but Elvis on Thurs was excellent and professional.
Excellent value for money - if you want the Ritz you must be prepared to pay Ritz prices!!
There are 6 steps up to hotel - quite shallow. See note below re inside.

Room Tip: Better to book direct and explain your requirements to excellent proprietors - there are a lot of st...
