Description: Osborne’s Café and Grill in Llandudno -- could there be a more romantic restaurant anywhere? Set in the Grade II listed Osborne House Hotel right on the promenade, Osborne’s is a modern tribute to high Victorian style. Softly candlelit and decorated with opulent drapery, period fireplace, gleaming chandeliers, gilt mirrors, antiques, paintings and fluted columns, the dining room still manages to be relaxed and informal. Perfect for light bites or full meals, the menu uses local produce to create inventive, seasonally-changing modern European dishes. Everyone loves the Conwy Valley lamb shank with ratatouille and basil when it’s on the menu and the Osborne’s rendering of fish and chips.

Finding this hotel is a real real find. The style of Kensington but with sea views and in a place to die for on this the promenade of what must be the best seaside town in Wales. OK its for he older generation but if its style you like this is it. It looks quite gloomy from the outside but dont be put off because inside you are met with wonderful decor. The hotel has been painstakingly restored to its original Victorian finish, down to the last door knob! In wintertime the two roaring fires great you in the lounge and by the time you sink into the sofas cushions you will know that this is a special place. When your table is ready you will be taken into the wonderful restaurant room or if you prefer stay in the lounge (chose the table in the window to watch the promenaders go by). The menues offer special deals and the same applies to the drinks sometimes (2 for the price of one if your lucky). But the best part of all is hidden for at the rear of the hotel is an entrance direct from the car park which takes guests up to the magnificent suits. This is sometimes used by those who wish to be discreet - no publicity please- they have the chance to dine in their rooms where automatic fires turn on as you enter- very very nice. Its a place to go for that special occasion when you feel you want something a little different this is it.

Went with a party of 12 - we chose the set Menu £19.95 for 3 courses. Good choices on the menu. I had: the Pate which was delightful, the Lamb shank with an excellent sauce & a summer pudding - home made and very tasty.
The is also a comprehensive and nicely priced wine list.

Decor very 'Victorian' but all facilities up to date. It's worth booking - and arriving early so as to sit in the very comfortable lounge and admire the decor whilst having an aperitif.

The service was friendly and the waiters / waitress knowledgeable about the menu and wine list..

Recommended as somewhere to go for a quiet intimate meal by friends & family, after going there we came away feeling disappointed & feeling as though we had wasted our time & money.
The décor is lovely & cannot be faulted, the staff were polite on arrival but the service during our meal left a lot to be desired, it costs nothing to smile!
Although my food was ok, my husbands was not, this was let down by the stroppy waiter who came marching over to clear our starter plates & when we said that we hadn't finished, he went storming back into the kitchen, slamming the door behind him. When we had finished & he cleared our plates our mains were served so quickly it was obvious that the food had been waiting to be served for a while!
The positives that I can draw from our visit is that there's choice for customers wanting fish & there was an extensive wine menu.
