“It's never long enough”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

Two nights was not long enough, either in Llandudno or this wonderful hotel. Our 'small' double room with sea view was large enough with a compact en-suite. Clean, tidy, well decorated and furnished with very friendly and attentive Ian and Carol-Lynn making sure your stay is memorable. So good we booked again before leaving.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are a must for wonderful sunrises

Thank you for your review and your kind comments for which we are grateful. We have three smaller double en suite rooms and three larger rooms which have wonderful sea views as you mention. Our rear rooms are more spacious but without the view!
We value very person who enters our small and friendly hotel, we hope to see you again in the future.
Thank you once again.
Best Wishes,
Carol-lynn and Ian :):)

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night stay at Lauriston Court. Carol-Lynn and Ian are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are both most welcoming, friendly and informative about Llandudno. The hotel décor is second to none and all rooms are immaculate and exceptionally clean. Our room was decorated to a very high standard, well designed with a lovely bathroom and beautiful sea views. Car parking was not a problem as there is parking at the rear as well as permits provided for the front and Ian is only to happy to move cars so no one ever need be blocked in. Breakfast was 1st class, compliments to Carol-Lynn for her cooking, and the staff were all lovely and very polite. There is an excellent honesty bar and it was most relaxing to sit having a drink on the terrace at the front of the hotel in the sunshine. Thanks for a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you both again. Alison and Gary.

We love our hotel and try very had to maintain our standards , we will never be complacent.Car parking can be an issue in such a popular place but with Ian working hard at getting everyone parked it is not a problem when you stay at The Lauriston.

We spent five nights in this lovely hotel after reading the many excellent reviews and we were not at all disappointed. We came to Llandudno for cycling and walking. Ian and Carol Lynn made us very welcome and we were given a safe place to keep our bikes. Although we spent each day out, (with lovely weather), it was nice to return to such a comfortable and friendly place. Sitting in the front watching the world go by and chatting over the day, sometimes with either Carol Lynn or Ian, was the perfect end to each of our adventures - cycling up the Great Orme and on to Conway Castle, cycling to Colwyn Bay, hiking up Snowdon and doing a coastal walk around Anglesey. There are many nice friendly pubs and restaurants to choose from in Llandudno, all within easy reach of this hotel, so our evenings were also memorable. From the tasty breakfast in the morning, to the setting sun across the bay in the evening, our short holiday was perfect. We will stay here again.

Room Tip: Sea view exceptional. We were travelling with my sister and husband and unfortunately there was only...

Thank you for your review ....it was good that the weather was so good to allow you to see the lovely area around us. You certainly were very active. The hotel is a very good base for touring and
sight seeing. Storing of cycles is no problem we are only too happy to do that. Setting you up for the day is no problem either as we are very happy to do that too.
So pleased that all went to plan and that you all had such a good time.
We hope to be able to welcome you once agin.
Yours,
Carol-lynn and Ian :):)

We chose this hotel as my brother and his family had been before and said it was excellent. I had visited LLandudno as a child and have some great memories so decided to revisit with my family. On arrival we were greeted by Ian who was friendly and welcoming and explained a little bit about the facilities in the hotel. We were in rooms 6 and 7 which were both decorated beautifully and were very clean which you don't find in very many hotels. Unfortunately my dad became seriously ill on arrival and had to be taken to hospital. Ian helped by phoning and ambulance and being very supportive and positive towards myself and my mam. Carol-Lynn and Ian allowed my brother to stay in the room that my mam and dad have booked as he had no where else to stay. Carol-Lynn gave me and my family advise and support which was very comforting. Both Ian and Carol-Lynn could not do enough to help us. The breakfast was lovely no greasy food just good quality tasty food. They bought my little girl a pink plate and cultery set to use at breakfast which was a lovely guesture . In the hotel there is a sign that says arrive as a guest and leave as a friend and this is so true. So true in fact that we have all booked to stay again next year. Thanks again Alison, Ian and Ruby

Thank you Carol Lynn and Ian for another first class stay. The rooms are lovely and clean with all the comforts you need - fluffy towels, tea and coffee, toiletries in the shower room. There was even some orange juice for the children. The view over the bay is fabulous and makes a lovely end to the day to watch it from the lounge window. There are lots of stairs to climb but it didn't bother us. Just makes you feel less guilty for having that extra ice cream! And the best thing..... fresh fruit followed by the smoked salmon with scrambled egg on a toasted muffin option for breakfast. Delicious. Are you sure this isn't a 5*? Thanks again and looking forward to coming back next year. Love from Rachel Chris Daniel and Jack. X

I've visited the hotel twice before, once with my wife and once as a family with the kids and it was first class. I visited this time unexpectedly as my parents and sister were staying there and my dad became seriously ill. I cant thank Ian enough for quickly calling for an ambulance and for both Ian and Carol-Lynn for all their help with everything. Its a first class hotel with first class staff and you know you are well looked after when you stay there. We will be back again another day and to have a holiday this time. Thank you so much.

Thank you for even thinking of writing for us as we know just how concerned everyone was. Ian was happy to help and we are both very happy that your Dad got all he needed..the NHS at its best.It was lovely to see you again but it would have been much much nicer under different circumstances, however thankfully it all turned out well.
We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Best Wishes to you all,
Ian and Carol-Lynn :):)
