“Fabulous stay, we will definitely be back.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2012

We recently stayed for one night at the Lauriston Court and have nothing but praise for this hotel. We received a very warm welcome from Carol-lynn and nothing was too much trouble. We had booked two rooms with sea views and were very pleased to learn on arrival that they were next to each other, which made it so much easier for us as we are a family. The hotel is situated in a prime location and the view from the rooms was fabulous (despite the weather!). Because of the warm welcome we had received the children felt happy to go and ask Carol-lynn and Ian for anything we needed. There was a good selection of books and DVDs for all ages. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was a great variety of both hot and cold choices, the fresh fruit was a really nice touch and went down very well with all of us. Thanks for a lovely stay, we will definitely be back.

Stayed 2 nights at the Lauriston Court a couple of weeks ago. This is an excellent hotel and certainly deserves all the praise that previous guests have written, Carol-Lynn and Ian are excellent hosts, the hotel is in a superb sea front position, it is very well appointed and we wouldn`t hesitate to stay again.

My parents, wife and myself stayed at Lauriston Court from Friday 19th to Saturday 20th October for my 60th birthday. We were all very pleased with the hotel and the excellent welcome and service extended by Carol-lynn and Ian. The cooked breakfast was perfect and timely served with a good range of alternatives available. Both rooms were clean, comfortable and had first class sea views with large feature windows. Ian ensured that we were able to park our car without difficulties. Had we not arranged to go out on both evenings, we would like to have enjoyed the hotel bar, which looked inviting. The only reservation I had was the small en suite in one of our rooms. However, this did not spoil our stay and we would certainly go back. Thank you Carol-lynn and Ian.

We are both so pleased that the birthday weekend went well. We really enjoy it when families choose to spend their celebrations and get togethers in our hotel. We have had wedding parties, anniversaries, birthdays & reunions stay here, it all makes our life as hoteliers so interesting.
We wish we could make some of the smaller en-suites bigger but we just can't, so pleased that it didn't affect your stay.We hope to see you all again in the future.

Lauriston Court is an excellent hotel offering the highest quality accommodation and friendly customer service. I have stayed in several hotels in Llandudno over the years, but Lauriston Court is by far my favourite. I would thoroughly recommend it as a comfortable, warm, friendly and high class stay, right on the sea front too. Many thanks...

Having enjoyed a nice stay a few months ago at the Lauriston Hotel, we decided to visit again, and had a lovely weekend. It was nice to see Carol-lyn and Ian again and they offered the same high class standard of service as our first visit, warm and friendly as always.... Hard to believe but we think the breakfast has even improved for the first time, which means alot to my partner... top class Ian!!! We stayed in a recently renovated room and the furmiture and decor was excellent. Lovely chic, friendly hotel and brilliant location. Definatley recommended.... we will be back.
Thanks again Carol-lyn & Ian. xxxxx

The Lauriston Court Hotel is a real home from home. The room was extremely comfortable with a great view of the Orme and the chimney tops of Llandudno. It was the family room at the back and was very spacious with bunkbeds and a double bed and plenty of room for storage. Very clean, great breakfast, warm and friendly service. Had a lovely time, though the sparkling weather did help!

Thank you for your review. Room 11 is spacious and light with a view of the Orme and as you say the chimney tops...which can be very interesting...as they are all different heights, colours and sizes. We remember that weekend....the weather was brilliant and that certainly makes a big difference especially when you have children. We hope to be able to welcome you all again to our friendly and small hotel.
Yours,
Carol-lynn and Ian:)

Having carefully researched a place to stay in Llandudno and after reading the reviews and looking at the web site, I chose the Lauriston Court. On arrival I was very disappointed and felt misled. The rooms we were shown were nothing like those on the web site or displayed outside the property. The two rooms we showed were small and cramped, with no room to put down a case, the case either blocked the dressing table mirror or we had to step over the case to get around the room. The ensuite was equally small. However, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the position of the 'hotel' was very central. The owners were friendly, but always there and I felt checking up on our every move. When I go away I like to be a free agent, not having to give details of what I have done all day. Being friendly is one thing, intense is another! Having spent many years visiting Llandudno and the surrounding area and staying in many hotels/guest houses, I am surprised the Lauriston Court ranks number one, as many other establishments have more to offer in comfort, atmosphere and hospitality than this one. This time I think Trip Advisor comments are misleading and one should not always believe what one reads!

Thank you for your review, we are pleased that you thought the hotel is in a central spot within our lovely town and that you enjoyed our "excellent" breakfast and that you found the bed comfortable, however we are disappointed because you were "disappointed".From what we could glean from your review we feel there are two main areas to address, the first was the size of your room, we openly acknowledge we have 3 small sea view rooms, we unfortunately cannot make them any bigger, it states on our website they are smaller, we try to describe these when guests are booking by telephone. We have a storage for suitcases on request. The second was that you felt we were intrusive...our aim is to be friendly ...however we realise that some guests like to be "free agents" we are aware there is skill in getting the balance just right between friendly and intrusive which we constantly assess.
Regards,
Carol-lynn and Ian
