We've just had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at this hotel, so much so we asked to stay another night but unfortunately for us they were fully booked. Fresh flowers in the vestibule, the hallway and on the breakfast tables gave it a very homely feel.

Our room, 6, had a lovely view of the Orme and across the shore. I'm extremely fussy about my bed and bedding and this one didn't disappoint. The electric adjustable bed, together with crisp white linen was supremely comfortable. There was also an iron and ironing board in the room, bottled water, biscuits, tea and coffee.

The bathroom was small, however the large shower was excellent, pure white towels and the Loccitane shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion a pleasure to use. Perfectly clean too.

Breakfast was amazing - excellent selection of fresh fruit, Welsh yoghurt, granola, cereals, croissants. Your choice of fresh juice was served in individual jugs on your table. Decaff coffee and hot milk no problem. Locally sourced produce for cooked breakfast was first class, kippers and smoked haddock also available. Joni was so friendly at breakfast, nothing was too much trouble.

There is an honesty bar in the hotel, you can serve yourself to a decent selection of wines and spirits.

Mark and Joni are very friendly and down to earth hosts, and made us feel vey welcome, we will certainly return again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: The rooms on the top floor are very spacious, but bear in mind there are no lifts.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the Clontarf. From the moment we entered the vestibule we could tell we had made the right choice of hotel and our room was stunning also.

As I was celebrating my birthday on our first night we decided to dine in and were not disappointed. The food and wine could only be described as top notch and this was repeated the next morning with the lush breakfast.

The owners made us so welcome throughout our stay and you can see why so many customers return on a regular basis.

We will certainly be returning to the Clontarf, probably in the summer and we will have no hesitation recommending it to friends and family.

Just returned from a one night stay, we wanted to stay 2 nights but they were fully booked which usually tell its own story, especially in January.
They don't advertise 'dog friendly' however they said we could bring our Bichon as long as we didn't leave her in the room while we left the hotel which was fine with us as we all walked around The Orme then we went for dinner at The Queen Victoria pub which is also dog friendly and it's safe to say we all had a good nights sleep.
Our room was lovely and warm and the L'occitane toiletries were a very nice touch as was the Evian water, biscuits, chocolates and I even had smoked haddock for breakfast which was cooked to perfection.
We have stayed in llandudno lots of times and at many different hotels/b&b's therefore I no longer write reviews however The Clontarf has forced me back to tripadvisor as this is our best experience to date.

Just spent a wonderful Christmas at the Clontarf. Room was excellent. Food was devine. The owners Joni and Mark could not have done more to help us. We could not recommend this hotel more. We will definitely be going back.

Mid December my husband and I stayed at The Clontarf for my birthday and I would like to thank Joni and Mark for their warm welcome and hospitality throughout our stay.

We stayed in Room 5 which had views of the Great Orme and the sea. The room was large and tastefully decorated.

The breakfasts were brilliant with plenty of choice.

The walk into town is a pleasant 10 - 15 minutes.

We would not hesitate in recommending the Clontarf and look forward to our next visit.
