“What have we been missing!!”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

We have been visiting the Empire Hotel and No72 for 30 years, always trying to fit in a weekend or mid-week break at least once a year. My wife and I tend to view it as home from home. Over those 30 years we have travelled aroud the globe and stayed at some extremely nice hotels, many featured amongst the top hotels in the world. But we always return to experience the wonderful hospitallity of the Empire and it's great staff.
Now, for some years the management have had a sister hotel on the sea front that we had never stayed in, as in our eyes nothing could beat the Empire or No72. But we decided for this trip perhaps we should take a gamble and see what it was like. If we didn't like it we were free to dine up the road at the Empire anyway, so that's what we did. And I am both sorry and surprised to say that Osborne House will be our first choice in future.
Everything about it from the rooms, to the excellent food in the evening, to the fantastic staff, who really went out of their way to make you feel welcome, make this a first class establishment.
I will say though that when I am away I do enjoy a cooked breakfast and Osborne House does only provide a continental breakfast served in your suite, but you are free to take the short stroll around the corner to enjoy the excellent cooked breakfast at the Empire for no extra cost, which we did. In my opinion, this gives you the best of both worlds.
I always thought the Empire would be hard to beat, but they have done it with Osborne House.
Mr & Mrs Maddocks and Michael and Elyse should be congratulated on what they have achieved.

Room Tip: The hotel only has six suites and we had one on the third floor, which has a small window overlookin...

Recently met up with family for a Sunday lunch, had been a few times in the past for various reasons and never been disappointed with the place, but it had been a few years since our last visit. The hotel/restaurant is designed in a very grand style, with lots of antiques dotted around and about the place, roaring fires in the grates, soft comfy sofas to simply fall into, on the whole a very opulent atmosphere in which to dine.

As it was a Sunday lunch the menu is unsurprising, but the food is plentiful, cooked beautifully, served quickly and in a friendly manor. I had the beef with Yorkshire Pudding (which was massive!) and it was delicious. Most of the party had the beef, but a few had the pork which was also very nicely received. Puddings also were delicious, the Lemon Roulade being a particular popular choice. At under £20 for three courses you can't go far wrong.

I should recommend this place without hesitation.

I was stranded in heavy traffic after the A55 was closed down due to floods; so there was no way I could get home. Fortunately, my husband phoned Osborne House and booked a room for me for the night. I had the gorgious room 101; with a four poster bed with a crown above; a sitting room and a marble bathroom. I had room service and had dinner and breakfast overlooking the sea. The service was impecable and unlike some of my colleagues who spent hours in heavy traffic or having to sleep in their cars, I was pampered at Osborne House and had a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Parking in front of the hotel is free from 4pm till 10am the next day. Although I understand they...

This hotel is a pure gem! Beautifully furnished and offering only six suites which are equipped to the last word in comfort, all with a wonderful sea view. We had a suite on the second floor (no lift) which was huge, with a lounge, large bedroom area, small interlinking room with fridge (fresh milk provided) and a charming bathroom with a roll-top bath and powerful walk-in shower.
The whole building is tastefully furnished with antiques, as is its sister hotel The Empire. Breakfast can only be taken in the room and is continental, but arrives promptly and the tray has a lovely assortment of breads, pastries and cereal, along with freshly squeezed juice. The breakfast table is at the window with a panoramic view of the bay. If you prefer a cooked breakfast, this is offered as a free option at the Empire Hotel.
We ate dinner in the Restaurant on both evenings of our stay, the food being excellent and very good value, with a wide ranging menu. The service was faultless and the staff helpful and efficient. A bonus, especially in Llandudno, was free parking at the back of the hotel, with designated spaces for each suite, and easy access.
A wonderful discovery and we would certainly return.

Room Tip: All suites have sea view - but no lift, so opt for a lower floor if this is a problem.

I booked one night 14th - 15th November for my husband's birthday - looked fab off the reviews etc but it was like walking back in time to a more gentile period. Feels very opulent and extremely relaxed. The rooms blow you away - we had 102 and the views were fantastic. The staff can't do enough for you - truly did not want to come home - sitting by the open log fires in the lounge area - mmmn very relaxing. beautifully decorated. Jo who works there is a lovely gil and can't do enough for you. the food is excellent - this hotel feels like a genuine treat - can't wait to go back. Had the best night's sleep ever - climbed uip into the bed (steps provided) and I am 6' tall !!! felt like a queen.

Room Tip: Room 102 has fab views - imagine they all are good - ro0oms are sooo good the views really are irrel...

Had the most beautiful dinner here.the decor, ambience, food, service was just top class we stayed for 5 hours! They had a fix price meal offer on so we tried that not expecting it to be as amazing as it was.our waitress was so helpful and knowledge about not only the menu but also the building and how its been restored to the wonderful cosy victorian/italian decor. Only wish we could have stayed the night here as the rooms looked amazing.
