I stayed one night with my sister in the twin bedroom. We had a little trouble finding the hotel but a quick ring and we were given very helpful instructions. After finding the hotel we were greeted by nice staff, a clean and modern room. We stayed in room 4 which was very quiet and although didn't have a view was very comfortable with tons of tea and coffee facilities. A brilliant stay and good value.

Lovely place, high quality and perfect location.

Loses a point because breakfast is strictly 8.30 with no alternatives. We had a long journey and had to leave at 8 and there was nothing available, not even some cereal.

Having said that, this cannot distract from the hotel itself which was great and great value.

After spending 4 nights in a static caravan in Talacre we decided to have an extra night away in a hotel before heading home. We booked the Westbourne after reading all the fabulous reviews on here.

The hotel itself is spotless and the owners are friendly but not intrusive. We stayed in room 2 which is a double room with an en suite toilet and shower.

When you arrive you are given a tick list so you can let them know what time you'd like to eat (betweeen the alloted hours) and what you'd like to eat. You can take the tick list up to your room and then leave it later in a box by the dining room door so you aren't under pressure to decide on arrival! Your breakfast is freshly cooked, you get plenty to eat and it sets you up for the day. I went all day without feeling hungry :-)

The hotel is on a quiet side street so you don't get disturbed by noise and you'll get a good nights sleep, but it's only a couple of minutes walk into town . There is also a little bar in the hotel if you fancy a drink before going out for the night.

Parking was the only issue as we had to park a couple of streets away when we arrived in the afternoon, but the street was less busy in the evening and we where able to park opposite the Westbourne.

We really enjoyed our one night stay we'd certainly recommend this guest house and look forward to visiting again in the future.

we stayed last minute for our 22nd anniversary, the guest house was spotless and the room was a lovely size, the bathroom was slightly small however had a bath which was lovely, used to just getting showers in guest houses. Ian and his wife were extremely welcoming and carried the case up the stairs for us.
many thanks and the breakfast was absolutely beautiful. thank you

Room Tip: some rooms are on higher floors and would be difficult for less able people to get to their rooms as...

We have stayed at the Westbourne twice now and we already plan to stay here again when we visit again in July. The hotel itself is spotless and the family room we have stayed in twice is very spacious. The bathroom and shower area is a very good size too. The owners are lovely. Friendly but not intrusive.
The best part for me about the hotel is the fantastic breakfast. You are given a ticklist when you arrive so you can let them know exactly what you fancy for breakfast and what time you plan on having breakfast between the alloted hours. I think this is brilliant and so much more relaxed than in a lot of hotels and guest houses. You are on a break after all so it's great that the owners are happy for you to do this.
The hotel is in the centre of town but on a quiet side street so you are close to everything but are ensured of a restful sleep too. There is also a little bar in the hotel if you fancy a drink before going out for the night.

I cannot recommend the hotel and the service highly enough. Thanks for two great overnight stays and we hope to see you again in the summer.

We stayed here on the 5th of april for two nights and had a twin room and a double room for 4 adults. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. Lovely rooms which were nicely decorated and immaculate. Breakfast was delicious and we were offered plenty of tea/coffee and toast. Toast came with the breakfast which made a nice change from some of the other places we have stayed. They had a lovely bar to sit in which we did on both nights and had a nice chat with everyone who works there! We will definiteley be coming back again this year as this is one of the best places we have stayed in!

We have just spent two nights at The Westbourne, as usual it was spotlessly clean and the breakfasts excellent. We are always made very welcome and nothing us too much trouble. It is a great location near the sea and shopping. Thank you
