Chatsworth House Hotel

Just got back from a 2 night break. We booked through Travel Style self drive for a stay at the 2* Min-y-don but were contacted the day before to say we were being moved to the 3* Chatsworth for the same price. As we had only paid £59 each and the Chatsworth costs £89 I was quite pleased! Check in was efficient and we got a parking space. The hotel has a well laid out bar and entertainment area. There is a swimming pool that looked fine though we didnt use it.We were given a family room overlooking the car park. Well worn but clean and serviced each day and towels changed. The food was plain with not much choice and not much taste but for what we paid it was fine. We shared a table in the restaurant, a bit cramped, but got on well with our dining companions. Hi to Maisie and Loll. Entertainment consisted of a singer on the Friday who was o.k and a singer, comic on Saturday called Joe Duggan?. He was good and everybody seemed to enjoy the night. The drinks were a bit pricey especially the bottles of wine, some were complaining about it, especially Maisie. Couldnt fault the staff , they were all polite and gave good service All in all, good value

Arrived by car with my Husband, my 2 teenage boys and Mum. Found the reception staff to be very unhelpfull and not easy to get information from. When we were eventually able to check in we found the 2 rooms we had hired clean and tidy. On entering the dining area for our evening meal we were ordered!! to sit at a table for 8?? by who we assumed to be the head waiter. (we werent allowed to sit at other tables available as he had a coach party arriving soon. The coach party finally arrived the evening before we left??) After we had our starter we were left to wait for a while which was fine but my children were still hungry so i allowed them to have a bread roll from the empty places on our table for 8! When suddenly 3 elderly ladies were seated with us. we let the waiter know that we had eaten an extra bread roll only to be made to feel like school children and shouted at that all the bread rolls were counted and it had messed him up! He went and got another bread roll and slammed it down infront of the lady who was sat at the place in which it was taken! This waiter then made a point of completely ignoring us and being ignorant for the rest of our stay. It was very uncomfortable also having to sit with people you didnt know when eating youre meals! Althought the 3 ladies we were sat with were lovely. The rest of the stay was ok and the food eddible but nothing exciting. The entertainment was obviously aimed at the majority of people who were staying which were over 70 and were in coach parties! Which is fine but i just dont like bad service! Over all ok for a short stay!

Please ignore the negative reviews. We only stayed here for two nights but are already planning on coming back. Very warm welcome and were shown up to our room and offered all help. Room was very large with huge bay window with seating to admire the views across Llandudno sea front and the great Orme. We had breakfast and evening meals. Food is delicious. We would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting LLandudno.

Just returned from a 5 day holiday with Travelstyle staying at the Chatsworth hotel and really enjoyed it. I dont Know what some people want to moan about this hotel for as we have stayed in many hotels both in this country and abroad and found it very good value. It was clean and comfotable, we had a seaview room which had every thing we needed, the food was good with quick and efficient service and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. There was entertainment every night .What more could you ask for, we will certainly be back

We stayed at Chatsworth House Hotel in Llandudno from Sunday the 3rd July until Saturday 9th July. This hotel was poor quality and needs updating.

Firstly, our first room given was of very poor quality. There were large damp patches on the walls and ceiling, the net curtains were filthy as were the windows. Our view from the window was onto scaffolding and rubbish.

We were offered a second room due to this however, found this room also to be poor. So that we were able to continue with our holiday we paid extra in order to get another room!

The food in the hotel was also of poor quality. In the 6 days we stayed the menu was repeated twice and the food was cold. The heat of the food did improve towards the end of the holiday when we advised of our concerns.

In relation to the entertainment in the hotel, this was also very poor and repetitive.

This is the first time we have travelled with National Holidays and due to the above I think it will be our last. Overall, we were very disappointed with our stay in this hotel.
