We wanted somewhere to stay in Llandudno for one night after watching the Wales Ireland final of 6 Nations rugby on TV and then WNO perform Elixir of Love at Venue Cmryu. So our priorities were somewhere convienient with parking, within walking distance of the opera, that was comfortable and inexpensive. This hotel really did fit the bill the owners Debbie and Andy are friendly and efficient, the place is very clean.
Our room was one of their smaller doubles, but it was well equipped with TV, tea & coffee making facilities and an en suite with shower. The decor in the bedroom we stayed in could perhaps do with updating, but frankly most of the time we were in there we were asleep - so it wouldn't actually have made any difference to the quality of our stay! The bedroom was warm, clean, comfortable and quiet which was exactly what we needed.
The breakfast was good, full cooked was served, to order, with top-ups of tea and toast offered along with a cheery morning welcome and some friendly banter.
The hotel is very convienient for the town shops, pier and Great Orme. It is about 20 mins walk from Venue Cymru, but that wasn't a problem, and the walk back along the majestic illuminated sea front at night after the performance made a weekend break feel a bit more like a holiday.More
