Very cold every time the owners kept going outside to smoke, food was ok,i had fishcakes which came with some very bland lettuce,my steak was ok ,but i need to ask for medium rare next time..We will try it again but when its a bit warmer,it was too cold inside, staff where nice ,menu was different in its presentation, not easy to work out the starters.

Delicious evening meal at Mr B's last night. Freshly cooked food, with a wide range of choices to suit everyone. Tried the fish chowder, beef in casserole dish with fresh new potatoes and fresh vegetables on the side, both courses were really tasty, would definately have again. Vegetarian choice was the portabello mushroom burger, with cheese and spicy peppers, homemade chunky chips and side salad, the burger had a lovely mixture of flavours. As a lighter dish we had Thai prawns in filo pastry with sweet chilli sauce with salad as a main. Also tried a side dish recommended by the waiter, cripy cubed potatoes with a seasoned tomato sauce - absolutely full of flavour and very tasty. Whether you like plain traditional food, or something more you will find it here. Will return again - must try their breakfast, it sounds superb!

Wife Jo and I had the pleasure of an informal dinner here. Horrendous weather outside but the warm décor, ambience and welcome soon left that behind. Large tables with comfy chairs well spaced from others made this rather special. NOT the usual boring range on the menu but wide ranging tastes to return for including starters for snacks and main meals incorporating winter casseroles and stews. Wonderfully presented and it did taste as good as it looked! All with fresh vegetables too. We shared the tempting deserts [one being brioche and butter pudding with orange liquor -fantastic] which gave even more reason to return. Probably for breakfast at the weekend!!
