Llandudno wouldn’t be Llandudno without the Great Orme, imposing and a landmark. You can walk it or better still get the tram up to the top. Or just get it in the background of any photo taken along the front.

If you are in the north of wales, don't miss this. The Orme has a road around it that has breathtaking views and, if you love driving, it is a one way system that you can take at speed! Go up to the top and the views are breathtaking - as is the wind on occasions! To do the road around the Orme, I suggest that you go towards the top and just after the mid-station, turn right, cross the tramway line and go down the windy road to the bottom. There you turn right and you are on the best part. The tramway is a good way of getting to the top though and the facilities at the top are excellent.

We can't visit Llandudno without taking a drive around the coast road (small toll) to the top of the Great Orme. Great to take a photo at the top just to see how the kids have grown and an ice cream regardless of the weather! Great memories X

We went to Llandudno on a coach holiday with Shearings. Either side of the hotel we could see The Great Orme on one side of the hotel and the little Orme on the other side.
We walked along the Promenade and enquired about going up the great Orme on the bus, they told us they only go half way up,to go to the top you need to go on the trams.
We walked up to the tram place and paid our fare each.We were not disappointed on the tram it was a very exciting experience as we slowly climbed to the top.The trams were really old but very well kept.
We stopped half way and had to change onto another tram to make the top.
Beautiful views, not a very good day, kept raining on and off.
When we got to the top we watched the film and history of the Orme.Looked around their displays they had.
We looked aroundown outside as best as we could, but the weather was against us,we retreated to the shop and the cafe where we had tea and cake.Caught the tram back down, what a wonderful experience we had, really pleased we bothered.

I would recommend this tour, a full commentary by a very knowledgeable gentleman and driver. A stop at the top for a lovely view. Very well worth the cost of £6.

So lucky with our last visit - almost shirt sleeves, but we have experienced horizontal rain too !
Excellent visitor centre, informative displays and videos, and a nice cafe at the top of the Orme - what isn't there to like !

Fantastic in summer for a ramble (and I'm not a rambler) We walked up and around The Orme from the South side over towards the pier in Llandudno. There is loads to see, wild rabbits, exotic birds and even seals. We go up towards the old barracks site then head up to the right to the top to meet the cafe, then cut down past the graveyard to the waterfront and on to the pier. I think there is 3 places to have tea and a snack etc. You might see hang gliders. cliff climbers and fantastic views too. After the walk there is a great rewarding pint of beer at the end of the pier. Great day out! I have put June when I travelled here but my wife and I go here quite often throughout the year.

Took a drive round coast road.£3 toll but well worth it.the views were great from start to finish. Got out of car for a few walks a bit dangerous in places but worth it.also went to the summit but it was blowing a gale. Stopped at a little church on the way up. Worth a visit.

A lovely place to visit whatever the weather. The cafe serves warm or cold and I dpgmgjp and warm and cold food. You can take a leisurely stroll finished with a good latte.

The best way to enjoy the views from the Great Orme is to walk. It’s not the first time we have done it but this time it was a gloropious bright but cool sunny day. The views are always amazing and we got to see the pod of Dolphins enjoying the sea. The complete walk takes about 2 hours and there is just one small cafe about half way round. We have done the walk in both directions but find that starting from the west is a gentler climb.
