I paid 20pounds each for a double room , which is not a lot of money , hotel as splendid views from the front, that is the best bit , rooms were dated and musty , the biggest problem was when my fiance turned the hot water tap on, was the rust and sediment that came out of the tap it was unreal , it was like a snake of seaweed coming out, i work in building maintenance for a living and know the the header tank must be awful , it is the only hotel I have ever stayed in where i had to buy bottled water in just to have a cup of coffee.if it had not being for this ,then 20 pounds would have being very fair ,as staff are good ,breakfast was ok,there are a lot of better hotels for slightly more ,if budget is tight then this will fit the bill perfect, just dont expect to much

We checked into this hotel on saturday 17th September, having already been charged for our room and been told quite directly "If you cancel for any reason we will still charge you". We thought that the initial telephone call was offputting as the chap at the other end of the phone was extremely rude and abrupt. The hotel had a terrible first impression as the entrance steps and doorway were littered with dirt, rubbish and cigarette buts everywhere - in short it appeared filthy. The atmosphere was unwelcoming and there was a lingering odour which made us feel sick. The decor was hideous, dirty and degraded. Our room was about 8 by 8 feet square with a double bed and barely enough space to walk around it, we had to pile our stuff into one corner as there was so little space. The walls and woodwork were dirty, badly marked, dented and cracked; the toilet was dirty and the shower was unusable. We decided to simply put up with it and get some sleep, but we could see that the room was nowhere near worth the £45.00 we paid for it. At about 10.30pm we started itching, and when we put the light on we were greeted with a horrific infestation of bed-bugs (small, ladybird-sized insects), which were crawling in everything - the bed, our pillows, the curtains, the carpets and all over the window area. We discovered that we had suffered bites on our legs and I had been bitten on the face. We were told later that it would have to be a very bad infestation for us to have seen so many insects. We were up, dressed and out of the room in less than 2 minutes. There was nobody in reception as the building is unmanned at night - risky if there was ever a fire. We had to trawl along the promenade of Llandudno, looking for another room elsewhere, and when we finally got somewhere, we discovered that the bugs were inside our clothes and bags. We have had to throw our clothes away, and may have to have our house fumigated. I'm sure you get the picture!! Whatever you do, avoid the Elsinore Hotel like the plague - it is indeed a foul building with horrible staff and you will be sorry if you stay there.

Room Tip: Rooms in another hotel are advisable!

like many other poor souls who booked into this delapidated place, we walked out the following morning. Dirty, smelly, health risk, filthy shower, no hot water, but the smell in the place was just unbearable.the man on reception told us there was parking round the back, no such thing,we went to tell him, he then changed his mind and said they didnt have parking. the windows were broken, no mattress covers on the bed, no info if there was a fire, we didnt have breakfast, i couldnt get a refund on my barclaycard as i didnt have a camera, but if i had, how do i photograph a smell????? anyway, please avoid this place, its a health and safety risk in every sense of the word.

This place is so bad I don't know where to start. It's a derelict slum fit only for beasts. Nothing more, nothing less. I walked in and walked straight back out. Better to pay the first night and stay eleswhere than to endure this hideous flee-pit. To anyone who doubts this warning, remember you were warned!

I am a world traveller and have stayed in some high and low cost hotels. This hotel is in a good location on the promenade in Llandudno between good quality hotels. Just around the corner are a selection of restaurants and shops, and a short walk from train and bus station. This is an old dated hotel and in dire need of refurbishment but at 20 GBP a night I excepted the low standards. My tiny ensuite (shower) room was at the back of the hotel, the bathroom light wasnt working and the walls were so thin I could hear any guests coming and going or talking until late at night. The tv in the room was set at a low volume and i couldnt hear it, thankfully i could not hear the tv in any other room either; the second night the tv didnt work at all. However, staff were always polite and friendly; breakfast was generous for the price:
orange juice, cereals and a British traditional bacon, eggs, mushrooms & beans, ( very overcooked). I did love the outside terrace overlooking the seaside.

Room Tip: ask for a room with a seaview and have no expectations

we checked in and one hour and two rooms later we checked out, health and safety risk, dirty, doors kicked in with no locks, unsafe wiring, lights hanging off walls, the list is endless and we took lots of photos, please avoid this hotel and if you have already booked please view your room before paying as they have a no refund policy clearly posted in reception,
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Room Tip: stay somewhere else

I was booked into this hotel with my family for two nights, it looked good with pictures. On arrival the hotel appearance has not been maintained and that was just the outside. the inside was worse and when we checked out the rooms they were smelly, damp on some walls and we did not feel that the beds were hygenic. we could not spend the night and left. the hotel needs a facelift.
