we arrived at the hotel at approximately 10am on saturday morning. We were lucky to find a parking space, parking could be a problem, before 5pm. We were greated by a friendly lady who showed us to our room on the second floor. The Room is comfortable but very dated. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Tea tray was provided, but if it was restocked their was a charge. Location is excellent for the cost, easy access to the sea fromt and great Orm.

On entering the hotel, it did feel cold, but the heating was on in our room and was at a good temperature. Extra blankets were available if needed. It was great for a cheap weekend away.

The breakfast was great, full english, nicely cooked and served very early, between 9 and 9.30am. The building is connected to the Masonic lodge so has alot of history and the breakfast room is an old chapel, so is very relaxing to eat in.

Basic and Budget, had a nice time.

Homely and welcoming - fantastic breakfast - nothing too much trouble and they love dogs as well! For us being able to take our dog with us on holiday is a bonus.

My partner and I found the Chelsea Hotel very warm, charming and inviting and the Lady on reception was extremely helpful and friendly. We expected to pay upfront, as we have had to do so in other hotels. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the great Orme and a good selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits, the bed was comfortable too!!. The beautiful masonic hall we had our breakfast in felt very grand and it was probably the best breakfast I have ever had.
We decided to stay at the Chelsea after a day/night out in the Town and the surrounding area. We will definately be going back.

My boyfriend and I had been to llandudno for the day and decided to stay the night. We had a look round a couple of hotels and decided on the chelsea for it's location which is very close to the town centre. When looking at the room by boyfriend noted it was very cold. We were assured that they did not turn on the heating until rooms were rented. The lady looked like she turned on the radiator and assured us that the room would be warm on our return later that night. Again we too had to pay upfront for the room. When we got back to the room after a quiet drink it was absolutely freezing!!!!! The radiator was not working at all. Not so much a romantic getaway but shivering under the sheets. We have never complained about a hotel before but when we mentioned it the next day she said we should have woken her up and we could have changed rooms...I wouldn't have felt comfortable about waking anyone up during the night. She did not offer us any compensation for our freezing cold, uncomfortable night. As for breakfast, admittedly we missed the cut off period at 9:30 but my boyfriend asked at 9:50 if we could, perhaps, have a piece of toast or cereal and was met with rather a rude response. Llandudno is a lovely place ( I will go back there) but I certainly wouldn't pay £55 to stay at the chelsea just to freeze again!

very disapointed, landladies mother very unwelcoming on check in. inflexible breakfast time 9-9.30. Room very tired and dusty. Breakfast transport cafe quality. Young landlady herself was very pleasant. Not at all enjoyable.
Photos on the website made it look a million times better than it is.

Just returned from a few days rambling using the Chelsea Hotel as a base. The warm welcome from the staff more than made up for the cold weather outside. We were made to feel at home and provided with excellent packed lunches for our walks. The owners were very useful in supplying guides and local knowledge which we found invaluable. The drying facilities proved invaluable more than once.We would certainly stay here again.
