“Not so sure it's "A Garden"”
Reviewed March 10, 2014

Situated at the end of Mostyn Street, it's not what some people might think describes a garden, rather a small area to rest on the seating around the pavement before walking up the main street in town, the area is surrounded by shops, cafes etc and an Alice in Wonderland statue as well as a totem pole style edifice. Not somewhere I would recommend that you go out of your way to find, but just stumble across when out shopping.

“Bog Island!”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Ask someone to point out the direction to North Western Gardens in Llandudno and there's every chance the response will be "where's that?". Ask them to point out the direction to Bog Island and you might have a chance of getting your directions. The gardens, such as they are, are known as Bog Island for two reasons. Firstly they used to sit in the middle of a traffic island with the road into town on one side and road out of town on the other. The road layout has since changed though so the "island" no longer exists. The Bog part of the name comes from the underground public conveniences on the site which are accessed either via steps or a rather ornate looking lift. The gardens are unspectacular, it's mainly grass although the local council do usually make some effort to put in some colourful plants and flowers as the seasons dictate. The gardens are also home to a bizarre totem pole, which I'm sure has some meaning or significance to someone, and a large wooden carving of the March Hare from Alice In Wonderland.
