My golfing pals and I recently enjoyed a great day at Maesdu Golf Club. The hospitality shown was first class along with perfect greens. Well worth a visit and tremendous value for money.

“Captain's Drive-In Lunch”
Reviewed April 7, 2014

Went for lunch to celebrate new Mr Captain's drive-in.
Great home cooked food, perfectly cooked vegetables, and home made apple pie and custard. Perfect for a Sunday lunch! Staff hard working and friendly and a real sense of home cooking. Well done!!

“Maes du”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

The name means Black Field. In c.1210 King John decided to go paddling at Llandudno and Ednyfed Fychan, the local landowner or warlord, shut his army into Deganwy Castle which overlooks the golf course. The English starved and eventually came out to fight. They were slaughtered by the Welsh in such numbers that the field was covered black in corpses, which is why it is called Maes Du to this day, though few of the folk who knock their balls about could tell you why.
