Had a good weekend, the food was exceptional and the hotel was disabled friendly, went with a party from the Parkinson's Disease Group. We didn't have a sea view room but we didn't spend much time in the room, there were lifts to all floors. There was also a large car park at the back of the hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms were fine in the hotel as none of our party complained.

We wanted a base in central Llandudno while we visited family. We booked the Kensington because it had a car park and reasonable rates. We didn't have a sea view room as we did not plan to spend much time there, but the room we were allocated on the second floor overlooking the back of the hotel suited us fine. Although small, it had recentlly been completely refurbished- new bathroom fittings (no bath, but good shower), also new curtains and white bedlinen. No complaints about the breakfast either.
We asked about dinner one evening and were told it was served at 6 o'clock- rather too early for us so we gave it a miss, and ate at the excellent Carlo's restaurant round the corner.
My only slight irritation was that on the second day the toiletries , T. bags etc., were not replaced, and as we had not noticed beforehand, did not get a morning cuppa or a satisfactory wash!
On the whole though, the Kensington suited us very well and would be happy to recommend it.I. Close to the town centre, and astroll along the prom from the pier, it ticks a lot of the boxes.

We had a lovely five days at this hotel, it wasn't our first choice, the hotel we wanted was full up that week. it turned out to be a good choice. The Kensington is a nice hotel and we had a lovely 5 days. We had a nice sea view room which had been refurbished. The people who own the hotel were very nice as were the waitresses and bar staff. The food was good but not a great choice but what we had was nice. The entertainment was very good and of course we had the bingo. There was two dance rooms we were in the one down stairs itwas nice and we could have a dance or two while the singers were on.

Room Tip: we could only speak for the room we were in but had a chat to some other guests who said the rooms t...

We last visited this hotel some two years ago with a group, and was generally satisfied. Refurbishing work has since been carried out at the Hotel. Our latest visit was for a short mid week break and we wanted a sea view room, with a bay window in order to sit and watch the world go by.The Hotel Receptionist did everything to obtain our request and also arranged our meal requirements including a choice of dining table, nothing was too much trouble. The room was excellent, clean and comfortable, maybe the absence of separate bed lights was a minor fault. The food was good and again excellent service made the break very enjoyable. The location of the Hotel to shops is good, and there is no problem with Hotel parking..

Room Tip: Book direct with Hotel to discuss your requirement.

Was part of a 50 strong dance group who stayed here earlier this year and are returning next year for more dancing with an organised dance holiday break. Many of the review comments are quite true, but when you consider how much we paid for our 4 day half board break we had no real cause for complaint. The meals are not Egon Ronay but then again nobody starved, the hotel has and is still being refurbished and the room we were in was clean and spacious enough.
The fact that at least 25 couples are prepared to return next year suggests that no one was too disappointed. The location is quite good and within easy reach of the main town area, shops, bus and train station. Parking is available at the rear of the hotel but I do agree with one reviewer that it could do with a bit of a tidy up, as could the rear entrance area, hotel management please take note.

Room Tip: Try to ensure you get a sea view room on the first or second floor.
