with the lovely four poster bed my husband and i felt like royalty, we have just returned home and had a really brilliant time, every where was spotlessly clean, the home cooked food was excellent a very good menu choice and all food fresh and locally sourced. Emma and Berwyn made everyone feel really special .We have been a few times and meet up with some lovely people who we all get together to arrange our next holiday. Rita and Dave

My wife and I have visited this beautiful resort many times over the years and have stayed at a number of hotels and guest houses during that time and have always been satisfied with the accommodation provided. However, we have recently returned from a five day stay in Llandudno and feel compelled to share our views of the Glenthorne Guest House. This really is a little gem of a place to stay. Just a short stroll from the town centre and the charming seafront it is ideally situated. Berwyn and Emma are wonderful hosts and make you very welcome from the start. Their warmth, friendliness and attention to detail is superb, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The room we had was spacious, spotlessly clean, very comfortable indeed and included some nice little touches which make you feel very much at home. The food provided was first class. Quality ingredients, fresh vegetables beautifully prepared and presented. There is a small car park at the rear of the Glenthorne which is very useful. This was our first visit but will not be the last. Happy times!

Room Tip: Rooms are over three floors however there is a ground floor room

My wife and I have stayed here on a number of occasions and I've only just thought about reviewing this little gem.

The Glenthorne is in a quiet street just a couple of minutes from the main shopping area and the pier in Llandudno. It's a charming hotel spotlessly kept by Berwyn the proprieter and his wife. They are a very peasant and jolly couple and nothing is too much trouble for them. There are a lot of steps and stairs so probably not too good if you are bad on your feet. The rooms are spread over three floors, as far as I know they are all on suite but I stand to be corrected on that. One downside is the lack of parking, it's mainly on street and during festivals and bank holidays can be difficult. However in all the years we have gone up there we have never failed to park in the street outside or just a few doors away. The rooms are all decorated to a very high standard with televisions and tea facilities. There is a beautiful bright and airy sitting room with a large television. Breakfast and evening meals are served in the dining room at the rear. Over the years we have met many people there and then seen them there again on later visits. For the women you can shop till you drop as this is the main shopping centre along the North Wales Coast. My only moan about the shopping is that Marks and Sparks have now removed the chairs where the hubby sat while wifey spent his hard earned! In the evenings there are a number of cosy pubs around the town. If you've never been to Llandudno, give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised.

Room Tip: The front rooms catch the sun and tend to be slightly larger.
