Tho small, this museum showed the reality of living during the war years.
Displays were great and sound effects took me by surprise.
Very enjoyable visit.

we really enjoyed going back in time, and listerning how people coped in the war. I enjoyed looking at the toys we used to play with, it bought back happy times. The things they used to sell in the shops, it was nice to try and remember them. I enjoyed sitting in the anderson shelter and listerning to people there at the time. It really was a most enjoyable visit.

I have taken my Year 6 class here for the past ten or so years and they have always really enjoyed it. We study world war 2 in class so this trip gives them a chance to immerse themselves in the era. It is excellent value for money with just the right amount to see. The owner is always very obliging and helpful. The small souvenir shop is always a big hit with its replica medals and model planes being the favourite purchase. I would recommend the Home Front for anyone with children of an age to understand and appreciate this memorable period in our country's history.

We came here at the weekend. It is very interesting, and well worth a visit. A lot of items in a small space. It took us around 45 minutes, but you could spend a lot longer if you read all the newspaper articles. The souvenirs are very reasonably priced. Take cash, you can't pay by card.

Thank Mary B
