“good old spoons!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Arrived fairly late in Llandudno so were looking for somewhere reasonably priced and good for our evening meal. Found a table within minutes and although it was very busy we never waited long for our steaks which were very tasty and cooked exactly to our liking.

“Cheap and cheerful, good tasting food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

The food and service were very good, the prices were good value. The only problem was that after mains, there was a half hour wait for dessert so we went to buy an ice cream elsewhere afterwards :P. The restaurant area is also quite dark as the lighting levels are kept very low. However; the experience was a good one and I will be visiting again!

“Our favourite Wetherspoons”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2013

Good prices for food and drink as at all Wetherspoons but somehow the Palladium feels a bit special. We have used this pub for many years whenever we visit Llandudno and have always enjoyed the value for money, location in the town centre and atmosphere in this lovely old converted theatre. There can be a short wait at the bar and for food on occasion but it is a very busy and big place.
We had two nice evening meals, popped in for coffee a couple of times (1st class!) and even had a late breakfast on our last day. Very good and one of the best 'Spoonies'

“Great atmosphere in a wonderful old theater”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

Reasonably priced drinks. Perhaps a more decent veggie choice on the menu as there was not much available. The atmosphere was great for all ages

“Fantastic setting; shame about the standards”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

Love this venue. Great to see this former theatre preserved and to imagine what it would have been like to see some of the people who have performed there in the past on that very stage where you can have a drink and a meal and stand in the footsteps of world famous artists including Gracie Fields. Each time we have been there, both on this visit and on previous visits to Llandudno, it has been very, very, busy and perhaps this is what contributes to some of the poor standards. One of our party was given a glass of Merlot in a glass which had dried food clinging to it and a chip in the rim, which was sharp and possibly harboured germs. When we complained, we were given a replacement glass, but it does undermine confidence in hygiene and health and safety standards that no one spotted it before it came to us. Will come back, but cautious about checking standards.
