Stayed here on 21st june for the weekend in the honeymoon suite, the staff were very pleasent and accomadating , breakfast was a great variety, the room and ensuite were immaculate, we eere met with champage in the room and petals and heart on the bed, i couldnt drink the champagne as far too sweet, overall a fabby hotel, only a couple of pointers...the honeymoon suite should be more luxurious as it looked a standard room...and meed more toasters as only two so it was a queue for toast

Stayed here for 2 nights in June very happy with our choice and the value it offered. We booked a superior double nice big room with bay window overlooking the prom lovely bathroom a big LCD TV with free view and tea making facilities. Room was a good size bed was comfy and we had no issues with cleaning standards. Check in was uncomplicated and brief I'm not looking for a friend for life when checking into a b&b like some others on here and we got free parking at rear of hotel though that is a first come service. Breakfast although plentiful is a bit of a circus but that's what happens when entire hotel is fed in a 1 hour timeslot and toaster situation is farcical considering the amount obviously already spent renovating rest of hotel. Very warm in restaurant even when it's moderate outside could do with fans or opening windows or patio doors. Free WiFi in room as well and excellent location for town and shops. Overall will book again and have no hesitation in recommending to others. If you want better pay more quite simple really

Room Tip: Room 104 was lovely

My partner and i stayed at the iris hotel for one night, in a superior room with sea view- there was a bottle of wine in an ice bucket upon arrival, along with some biscuits. The large bay window had two comfortable chairs to sit in while taking in the view. The room was large, and the bed was massive! We had breakfast the next morning- fruit, cereals etc plus a hot food cart (sausage, bacon, eggs etc) where you choose exactly what you would like to eat! This hotel is not five star- but has everything you need and for £45 a room booking a late deal I would definatly return in the future!!

Problems started before we arrived, took 2 lots of payments from bank and made numerous promises that it was being refunded all if which were lies and took over a week to get money back!

Stayed in the annex rooms were nice but walls like cardboard and could hear every little thing from next door so kept up for hours with next door getting intimate!

No parking despite saying there is told to park at asda which is a far walk away.

Breakfast nice apart from toaster not working so big queues for the little one hence everything goes cold while waiting

Staff friendly and ok to stay if you get it cheap and they don't steal your money!

Have seen reviews about cleanliness and have to say it looked clean to me!

Easy and fast check in, friendly staff. We stayed in an annex room - new fittings, good quality shower and clean to a high standard. Tea and coffee in the room was a surprise. We didn't have time to stay for breakfast but my daughter said it was very good, with plenty of it and lots of choice. We would stay here again.

Stayed here for 1 night the position of the hotel is excellent the parking is a little tricky as it gets very busy on the sea front however we got a spot eventually and was amazed that it only cost £3 to park all day and it is free parking from 4pm until 10am excellent. The decor of the hotel is a little garish and its not the cleanest in the reception areas which really lets it down. We stayed in the annex which when we were took to our room we had a bit of a shock as you go outside into a dirty courtyard at the back of the hotel but the rooms we were given were fine - in fact we were pleasantly surprised. Lots of tea & coffee supplied plenty of fluffy white clean towels nice bathroom with shampoo and shower gel supplied. There is a small hairdryer in the room and a very small TV. Breakfast did let it down a little the staff were great but very busy, a table in the middle has juice and cereal but they ran out of glasses and bowls, there is a bufffet trolley which is not self serve and again ran out very quickly - I would guess this saves on waste the toaster was broken and a two slice toaster was put in its place - not good for a hotel full of guests. Its a great value hotel and the position is perfect but in my opinion I think it needs a good clean the stairs to the restaurant are really dirty and put us off eating there. I would not recommend this hotel for that reason but wouldn't say cancel if you have booked apart from the cleaning its ok. Management really need to read reviews and sort out these problems and they would have returning guests.

Stayed here for a night away with my fiancé. Just needed a cheap night away for the two of us! Came across Iris hotel for bargain price of £31 for both of us for bed & breakfast!!
Welcoming at the reception was warm and friendly... Foyer is lovely and modern, receptionist showed us how to get o our room in the annex - outbuilding... The outside walk from the hotel to the annex needs some work but the annex was just what we needed .. Clean, small and a bed!!
The bed wasn't comfortable and I did have backache when I woke in the morning, the curtains need sorting - they are too long for the window, my partner said he had springs sticking into him in the bed also the sheet wouldn't stay on the bed!
Breakfast was ok.. Cereals etc and a cooked breakfast.
For the price it was a ideal cheap night away
I would stay here again at this price but wouldn't pay anymore for the annex
