“A bit disappointing !!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 29, 2013

After waiting 10 minutes to have our order taken, we waited a further 40 minutes for our meal to arrive. There was one lady running round like a headless chicken and a few other members of staff doing other duties ( not taking orders, not clearing tables or taking meals to tables !!) I orderd a vegetable shepherds pie (which my wife did advise me against) when it arrived I didn't want to admit my wife was right, that it was the wrong choice !! It was tasteless and looked like it had landed on my plate from a great height, and looked like a childs portion. My wife ordered fish and chips which was hot and tasty but again the sort of portion you would serve to a child. Calling my experience average is on the generous side, as it wasn't quite bad enough to say poor, the headless chicken lady running round swayed my judgement to average. Won't go back unless all the other cafe's in the area are closed.

“Lovely Food, Good Service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2013

I had a Cod special , which is fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. The service was good and the food came quickly, it was all very fresh and piping hot. The only slight criticism is that the size of the portions was quite small, could have done with a few more chips, but it was all very tasty

“Horrendous service!!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2013

Came in for lunch with my two boys service was awful from the moment we arrived. Wasn't very busy when we arrived but took the server a while to take our order came back with our drinks which one was wrong told her to be told oh ok I will change it no apology at all. Took ages for our lunch to come which was just slapped on the table! Our bread and butter was forgotten and we we weren't asked if we wanted any sauces! Food once came was ok will not be returning again!!!
Servers need a lesson or two in good customer service

“Good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

Visited on a Tuesday evening and was one of only 2 customers. Got a friendly welcome and had a good meal of F&C (though there is quite an extensive menu) with the trimmings, tea, bread and butter, a nice slice of apple pie and a beer. This was all about £16 which was pretty reasonable. Freshly cooked - a good spot
