Have stayed here a few times with work and have always had great service and the place is always very well kept. I have had very large rooms with huge bathrooms towards the back of the hotel and slightly smaller rooms with balconys overlooking the beach with gorgeous views. 5th floor rooms all have balconys I believe.

My only negatives would be.... The place is always to hot! Like the central heating is in overdrive. Even during our recent storms I ended up opening the patio doors during the night to be able to sleep. This may be due to the fact that the average age of residents is quite high ;) and they seem to enjoy the warmth. Lol.
My other negative would be the rather average breakfast. The fruit and cereal selections were ok so I havent got much to complain about there but the cooked breakfast was a real let down. Pretty average bacon and sausage and over cooked poached eggs. They could also do with giving guests their own cafetiere rather than having to wait for the waitress to serve you if you want another cup etc.

Overall. Great service. Typical older style llandudno hotel. One of the better ones but not the best.

Thank you for your review, it’s great to hear you enjoyed the great service, your comments will be passed on to the staff. We are disappointed to hear you thought breakfast was average, I do hope you addressed this with the Restaurant Manager at the time, we can serve Coffee in a Cafetiere, please ask your waiter/waitress if you decided to stay with us again. Overall we are pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.

Great location for this lovely hotel which is right on the promenade. Parking could well be an issue in this area but I was fortunate to get a space in the small (very small) car park at the rear of the hotel. Other than this it would have been necessary to park along the promenade.

The room was clean and very comfortable with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable and inviting after a long journey (from London) and I could easily have fallen asleep straight away.

I had a very pleasant meal in the bar area rather than in the restaurant as I had work to do and I needed to get back to my room. Breakfast, which was excellent, was served quickly and efficiently which is important for those that need to get on with the days work.

Staff were all friendly and helpful during my stay which goes a long way to making the stay a pleasant experience. All in all, a very pleasant stay in a good 'quality' hotel. I will definitely stay in this hotel again next time I am in the area.

Thank you for your review we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your recent stay here at the hotel, and enjoyed the food, service and hospitality,We are one of the few large hotels in the resort to have a car park and while we appreciate it is small, our guests don’t normally experience problems either parking in our car park or on the Promenade. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the not too distant future.

We have stayed at the Imperial a few times and enjoy each visit more and more. It's a very relaxing hotel and i feel this is down to the staff who look as if they really love working there. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean, beds comfy (too comfy!) and food gorgeous. Location just spot on too

Went to the Imperial for a relaxing break and certainly got it.
The Terrace was the place unwind with its views over the sea front.
Staff all round were friendly and helpful.
The lunch and evening meals were first class with plenty of breakfast options.
Only gripe was having to change in the room and walk along a corridor to visit the swimming pool which we were unable to do as no robe could be found to fit us - but at least they did try.

Stayed for a blustery weekend in January. Perfect seafront location for Cymru Venue just a short stroll down the promenade. Handy for the shops and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, good breakfast choice, eaten in the terrace overlooking the sea.

Room Tip: Standard double rooms are more than adequate, the one we got was on the side with a terrace but upgr...

We upgraded to a seaview room, the room had everything that was needed, comfy chairs, bottled water, even a robe and slippers (more about the robe later), very spacious only thing missing was a room safe.
A gem of the hotel is the beauty room, it's one room, one beautician, but she was so professional with little extra touches, heated treatment bed, gentle classical music not the normal whale music, if you go to the hotel, treat yourself.
The weak part of the hotel is the pool area. The reception staff were excellent but even when we asked about the spa they never explained you had to change in your room and walk about the hotel to the spa and back (when damp/wet) in the robe slippers out of your room, it does tell you that in the room file but we only read the fire procedure not the large file. I know a steam room is suppose to be wet but the hotel steam room did not have a nice smell, it actually smelt damp and mouldy.
We ate dinner at the hotel, it was so nice to see people making an effort to dress nicely, made it more of an occasion. The restaurant staff were superb, there but not fussing over you. After a lovely meal desserts were just the right size, not too much.
Breakfast was excellent and again the restaurant staff could not do enough for you. Ask for the fried bread, the best I've had in years, it's worth the unhealthy treat.
Would have given hotel 5* but pool area lets it down
