Liked best: The comfort of the apartment
Liked least: Could be a tough walk from town for the elderly, but a taxi is only £3 and there is a bus service during the day..

“Lovely holiday cottage”

I stayed at Ty Haf for a week with my partner and our baby son. The booking process was easy, with Angela replying quickly to emails. She was also able to supply a travel cot and a high chair, which was a real bonus as I had one or two other property owners telling us we had to bring our own for "health and safery reasons"! Our little boy slept really well in the travel cot.

The cottage is much more spacious that it appears on the photos. All the rooms are a really good size. The bathroom is ideal for a young family as there's plenty of space. The view from the living room window is amazing - you can see down into the town, the beach and the sea, also you can see the tram passing by and the goats on the Orme!

The kitchen is really well equipped. There's a full size oven and hob, a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, iron and board. There's also a washing machine in the bathroom. There's a small courtyard garden at the back, which we had a couple of barbeques in and there's patio furniture.

The property is located up quite a steep hill. If you're driving it's not a problem. There is a limited bus service that stops right outside the cottage, although it's only once an hour during the day (mon to Sat), much less frequent on Sundays and doesn't run after 6pm at all. We did however get a taxi up from Llandudno one night and it only cost £2.30 - which is probably cheaper than the bus fare for two adults! Other than that we walked up the hill every day - it's a slog, but quite an achievement.

Parking was never a problem, even though it was on street, there were always spaces available. The only issue came on our last night, when two cars parked literally a few inches away from either end of our car, making it impossible for us to move it. We couldn't find out whose cars they were and ended up ringing 101 to get one of them moved. The only other issue (again completely out of the owners control) was the convoluted recycling system they have in Llandudno, with about half a dozen different bins/containers for different types of rubbish - which became a bit of a pain.

Angela was really welcoming and overall this is a lovely cottage, with great facilities and a wonderful view. We had a really happy holiday there.
