“Excellent Hotel”
Reviewed May 7, 2008

Just had another wonderful weekend at the Hen-Dy. We were given a warm welcome again from Louise and David who are the perfect hosts. If you enjoy your food this is the hotel for you as both the breakfasts and evening meals are excellent. We have already booked again for next year.

Everything at Hen Dy is designed to make guests feel comfortable . The hotel is clean and well laid out. The bar and lounge are relaxing and David and Louise make sure that everyone feels welcome and comfortable. They really do understand the meaning of good hospitality and attention to detail
We used it as a base to meet family and could not have chosen a better venue. We all ate in the restaurant at Hen Dy which meant we could relax over a bottle of wine or two and make the most of our time together. Whats more the food was cooked to a very high standard with everything bought fresh that day . Needless to say breakfast was also superb.

We have recently returned from a weekend stay at the Hen-dy Hotel and found everything from the room to the food to the hosts first class! It was a family get together for myself and my husband and my 6 siblings and their partners. We had a fun filled weekend and the hosts David and Louise welcomed all our comings and goings. They put themselves out for us no end and even kept smiling through all our family jokes!! They kept the bar open and the drinks flowing even going out to buy a particular drink that i'd wanted. Breakfasts were just magnificant and the evening meal was delicious considering David is a self taught cook!! We have 2 qualified cooks in our party who were both impressed. So all in all i would absolutely recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to be sure of staying in an A class establishment. No need to look anywhere else!!

  • Liked — The Location, The Hosts, The Food, The Friendly Atmosphere, Everything!
  • Disliked — Hard Pillows but using an additional spare one did the trick.

We have just returned from a weekend stay at the Hen-Dy. We found the hotel to be relaxing and friendly. Our room was overlooking the sea, and as the hotel is on the seafront we had an uninterupted view of the sea and along the seafront. Plenty of complimentary tea and coffee in the room and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel was full but quiet and the owners very keen to please. We would definately recommend this hotel and hope to return in the near future.

Stayed at the Hen-Dy in August with my daughter and elderly parents. We all loved it, the hotels position is excellant right on the sea front. Both the rooms were large, clean and nicely decorated. But best of all was the food, wonderful!

Staying at the Hen-Dy was one of the best decisions we made for our holiday in Wales.
The owners David and Louise were very welcoming and the hotel was fantastic.
The view of the Llandudno foreshore is spectacular as the hotel is across the road from the beach, and it's situated only one block from the main shopping strip.
There is no lift, but David carried our bags straight up the stairs for us. I would suggest elderly people and those who have difficulty climbing stairs ask for a room on a lower floor.
We had to leave early in the morning before the normal allocated breakfast time (I think it starts at 8am), so the owners were kind enough to cook us breakfast early with the tradesmen at 7am.
No faults here. My vote is 10/10.

Booked at the last minute for a onenight stay based on recommendations on Trip Adviser. Once again recommendations had not let us down. The hotel is on the front and whilst there is a small car park available, we found a space on the street to park with unlimited car parking and only about 10 yards away. The room was spotless and as many others have commented, breakfast was excellent with help yourself cereals, etc and then freshly made porridge and the ususal english breaksfast. There were a couple of great restaurants nearby and we had a great time which amounted to nearly 2 full days there and a nice break.
