This highly rated venue is right next to the tram stop going up to the summit of Great Orme and aims to climb to equally great heights. Fish, chips, service, price, all go to the top

“Good quality take away ”
Reviewed June 23, 2014 via mobile

Popped by today as a result of TA reviews, as was in area briefly and a quick lunch was required. Shared a takeaway cod, chips and peas with husband as was not overly hungry. Both fish and chips were freshly cooked to order, piping hot and crispy. We were offered lemon slice as well as traditional salt and vinegar. Portion size good, tasted lovely. Would recommend.

“Nearly met my expectations”
Reviewed June 22, 2014 via mobile

Place itself a bit tired looking, staff very friendly and attentive, but didn't like their Hilda Ogden style uniform. Food tasty, fish moist, batter and chips crispy, chips served in a mini frying basket which was a nice touch, but mushy peas very insipid and not very mushy. All in all would return if that way again.

Sorry to hear we didn't meet your expectations, but glad you enjoyed your fish and chips! The peas are home made so aren't out of a tin so we know they aren't like pea soup but our peas are healthier and we think more tasty as they have no artificial ingredients added. Its a shame you aren't a fan of our new vintage uniforms as we've received so many great comments about them, that they add to the nostalgic fish and chip shop environment, but we can't unfortunately please everyone.

“Feeding the dolphin”
Reviewed June 22, 2014 via mobile

Right next to the tram station excellent lunch whilst we waited for the team which pulls up right in front off the outside benches . Fish was fresh and top quality . Frying on old potatoes when I was there seemed to be veg oil and not beef fat which you rarely see . My three year old daughter loved feeding our empty trays to the dolphin rubbish bin . All in all first rate chippy.

Thank you for your review, yes we do fry in vegetable oil which is filtered everyday to ensure the best taste to our fish and chips. Its great to hear you enjoyed your visit and that your daughter enjoyed feeding Dolly the dolphin!!
