Good for a quick postprandial wander, but watch out for the seagulls who will quite happily steal ice creams from the unwary!

Llandudno so far has been my most cherished memory in North Wales... The view of the bay and it's surroundings from the Pier is amazing, especially on a lovely sunny day. However, I'd imagine it to also be great on a winter's day, when you have the Pier all for yourself. I was not that much amazed with the selection of shops around, as the kiosks seemed to be a replica of each other. I loved the music around the area; very cheerful. Over here I have also found the Tardis, and I could not help my geek self... Of course, photos had to be taken.

Visited Sat 4th Jan - whilst the rest of the country has battered storms, Llandudno was sunny and cool enabling us to experience the pier. Lovely relaxing walk surrounded by rock, sea, air, shops. A must.

on a breezy new years day a walk on the pier was just the tonic.
strangely it was nice and quiet and we almost had the place to our selves. so nice to walk out and have fantastic views of the bay.
nice idea as well to have the benches all the way along now.
so get wrapped up, go for a walk and enjoy the view!

I've spent many a day visiting here as a child with parents and was bored every time except the first, when it was all new and didn't know any better.

The pier is lovely for walking out into the sea, personal preference for which weather is best. The thing that drags the place down in the dumdrums of boring is the near endless same-old, same-old selection of stereotypical kiosk traders who offer nothing to the experience. The traders' insistence on selling crumby market-wares, low cost to them high cost to us, induces a sense of naffness that really should not be there. Expensive candifloss, sticky broken rock, jackets and t shirts that won't last a full cycle are not really the high quality offering that we should be offering to visitors at all.

I'd love to be able to walk the length of the prom and get to the end without the feeling of "oh no not again" as soon as I see the boring old imported seashells, jelly sandals and age old CDs and videos that no one seems to want to buy. One day perhaps, they'll have something that makes a good experience on that pier and that isn't designed to make a quick £5 for the traders.
