“The atmosphere is so good and friendly”
Reviewed January 14, 2014 via mobile

I turned up there accidentally after climbing the mountain and enjoyed a heavenly good lunch there. Then what surprised me were the 300 years history of the pub and the recommendation on the lonely planet. A real surprised treasure hunt trip for me to be here. And you won't want miss the ale beer there. Thx for the hospitality of the bartender and owner.

“Great food in a proper pub”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

We had lunch here in the restuarant section and found the food to be very nice indeed. I had the salmon and my partner had the special chicken pie, both of which were very tasty, nicely presented and good portions. Menu gives a good choice of things, with plenty for veggies and fish dishes, as well as their range of speciality pies. Service was good and polite. The atmosphere is like a proper old-fashioned pub. We will definately visit again when in Llandudno. Nice to find a quiet spot by the entrance to the tram way, tucked a little away from the bustle of the main shopping streets. Recommended.

“disappointing meal”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

Unfortunately after being recommended to try a meal at the Kings Head, we were left very dissatisfied. We waited an hour and 20 minutes from being seated before receiving our main course. When it did arrive mine was stone cold and had to be returned to the kitchen. When I got it back it had obviously just been microwaved and was so hot that it was burning my lips. Each meal involving salad came with a handful of mixed leaves from a bag which was very unappetising. The meals had also been served on cold plates, hence the cold food. Such a shame as it was a family meal that we were all looking forward to. The waitresses were excellent and apologetic, but no apology from the kitchen.

“Christmas Delight !”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

We decided to go away for Christmas and booked to stay at local BB in Llandudno. We booked our Christmas Dinner at The Kings Head. Price was good, lovely atmosphere and welcoming. The food was absolutely gorgeous couldn't fault it at all. The only downside was the organisation, a bit hit and miss, waited a bit too long between courses. Having said this tho, the staff were very obliging and courteous despite the fact that one lady in close proximity to us complained non stop. But then there always has to be one, my suggestion to her would be if it wasn't to your liking then stay at home next year. Will be going back to Llandudno later on in the year, so will most definitely go to eat there. Thank you for a lovely Christmas Day.
