Ate here recently and was very pleased,;ovely food which was served piping hot, and very tasty, ate in the restaurant rather than the bar, it felt a bit like being in a cafe rather than a restaurant but the food was good, menu was big, lots of choice, and portions were fairly large, prices were good too, The lady serving in the restaurant was very nice and really helpful, had a drink in the bar after dinner and was a lovely old fashioned pub atmosphere, would return again, my only negative would be that there were dogs in the bar and this would put me off if Iwas eating in bar area,

We had a meal here upon the recommendation of our hosts whilst on our recent travels. The place certainly had a lovely atmosphere and the food was OK but a bit on the high side price wise.

Food is reasonable here and seems a nice enough place, but the staff are indifferent to the point if rudeness. Poor service, off hand manner, will not be reusing this pub, you have been told!

We didn't eat in the pub as the sticky unclear tables were off-putting. (Despite the pub being quiet on a wet Wednesday evening in October, dirty glasses were left on tables throughout our visit)
No one else appeared to be eating.

Shame, this used to be a top pub.

The pub is excellent, we couldn't fault the beer or the atmosphere but we were a little disappointed by the value of the food in the restaurant and we both felt that we paid restaurant prices for small portions of pub food. That may have been the menu choices we made, as it was certainly busy, and what we had was tasty, but for us the restaurant was less impressive than the pub itself
