We booked this hotel, only 4 weeks before we went through recommendation from My Aunt, Uncle, Sis and Hubby and My Mum, and My word werent they just right about it. A Fantastic Hotel to stay in.
Right from the entering the Hotel, one of the Best Receptions we got from the Booking in Desk, we were made instantly at home and Ease.
Our Room was on the 3rd Floor, lovely Sea View, and very peacefull.
Just what we wanted. The Restraunt Area is lovely and bright and Airy, and the food is just fantastic. We enjoyed every single meal, service again was fabulous. We also found the Hotel bar to be very reasonably priced for glass of wine, again service in the bar Area, effecient and friendly. We also loved Llandudno did lots of walking, and I was pleasantly surprised how Big the Shopping is there. Of course was a long time since I have been to Llandudno, but most of the shops there which are in a City Centre. Great Orme is a super walk up we had fab views from the top. Lots more walks still to do so will be having another visit to the Merrion Hotel.

A colleague and I stayed 3 nights on a deal with evening meal included. We were both delighted with the care and attention shown, not only to us but to all the other guests. Nothing was too much and all the staff were continually helpful and professional.
The food was brilliant with plenty of choice, and at short notice a table was prepared for a client to join with us-he was impressed!
Parking is a short walk away in a locked gated compound with electronic key access. All in all, a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Even 3rd floor rear room (large family room for single occupancy) very acceptable

Thanks for posting your comments, we greatly appreiciate the feedback. We would like to offer WiFi all over the hotel but unfortunatly due to the thickness of the walls we can only offer it in and around the reception/bar area although as you say it is free of charge. Hope to see you again soon.

We have just returned today from another lovely three night break with a party of friends and my wife has already paid a deposit for November 2012
Full praise to all of the staff who engaged us in a really professional manner and to the chef's responsible for my expanding waist line

This hotel is ideally suited for all that Llandudno offers and you will be hard pressed to find better; especially where the food is concerned

Room Tip: Rooms on the 1st floor near to reception sometimes allow you to pick up on the hotels free wi-fi; wh...

We decided to spend a couple of days in North Wales / Llandudno as a break and we were primarily looking for a central location, car parking (this can be difficult in Llandudno in season).
The Merrion Hotel satisfied all these requirements and more, it has a sense of calm and peace about it, which I cannot describe.
The hotel was very clean, spacious rooms with a good view of the bay. The breakfast were excellent.

Room Tip: Get the front Sea view room

I have stayed as one of a golfing party in March for the last three years, and we are due again this year. We count ourselves as fortunate to have discovered the Merrion and it contributes substantially to what is always an extremely enjoyable experience. None of the facilities can be faulted. It would be churlish to mention that the lift is a little on the slow side, and that there are no outside sitting areas, but just the thought of the quality and variety of the food more than compensates. Here's to 2012.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review, I am delighted you enjoy staying with us at the Merrion for your annual golf break, it is always a pleasure having your group in the hotel. It is worth saying to those who do not know the area that we have some superb golf courses around Llandudno, from challenging links courses to long parkland courses all within a few miles of the hotel.
Once again many thanks and we look forward to seeing you in the Spring.
