This hotel is a lovely place to stay!! The hotel is very clean and welcoming. We also brought our dog who they welcomed with open arms. The hotel staff are very polite and couldn't do more for you. The hotel is situated right on the beach front so you have a lovely view of the sea. Would defiantly recommend and stay here again!!

This is the second time I have visited the Queens Hotel and have nothing but praise for the rooms(mine looked like it had just been redecorated with new furniture), the staff and the food. A good menu selection at both breakfast and evening meal with the food arriving hot and tasty by staff that were polite and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. If you need a coffee in the bar go for the cappuccino as they are the best around. The entertainment was excellent, especially Eryl who had a good range of songs suitable for every age especially doing the 50's & 60's hits. The only little niggle I had was that there was no full length mirror in my room but that is something that could easily be rectified and as it was on the street complete blackout curtains would have been a bonus. Looking forward to my next visit.

Second time I've stayed here with my mum. It's such a welcoming place that I cannot recommend it highly enough. The entertainment each night is superb, particularly Morgan Reeves. He's there on Tuesdays I think. It's mainly for older people but I'm 44 and my mum 83 and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast is yummy, afternoon tea is gorgeous and the evening meals are great too. The value for money is very satisfying. The rooms and decor are a little old fashioned but it doesn't detract from the warm atmosphere of this delightful hotel. We paid slightly more for a sea view, worth every penny. All of the staff are friendly without exception. Thank you.

Room Tip: Sea view worth the extra few quid!

My Wife and I have just come back from a weekend stay at the Queens Hotel ,the rooms were basic but very clean .The food was was very good ,and a great choice on the menu both for breakfast and Dinner .I had asked before we went about the Gluten free menu ,as my Wife is a Ceoliac ,other Hotels we have asked in the past ,have said yes they do a Gluten free menu ,but on arrival the choice was very limited to say the least .I have to give the Queens full 100% praise for they supplied a great Menu, a great choice .My Wife was most impressed, both with the food and the Knowledge of the Staff in the Restaurant regarding Gluten free diet.
If you are a Ceoliac you can go the Queens with great confidence ,and enjoy fabulous food
The price was great also we will definitely be back soon , well done the Queens

Room Tip: Twin rooms seem to have a bit more room inside

I stayed in a single room which was very small but adequate, they are doing the rooms up bit by bit. The staff were very friendly and obliging, nothing was too much trouble. They had a good choice of food, something for everyone. For this type of hotel it could not be bettered, I will visit again if I get chance.

We that is myself, my wife. and two relations went to the Queens for a break. As we were told when we booked we were. staying in the lodge. which was very nice and a loverly. room but we were dining in the main hotel having been to the Queens before. we new the food was good and we were not disappointed excellent food both at breakfast and dinner the entertainment on the Friday was a female singer who was excellent as well as being a bit of a comedian getting the audience going her name was Debbie. On Saturday evening. we came out to find there was no entertainment due to a party which we had not been told about, everyone was up in arms but after negotiations the hotel treated us to a free drink 25% off our bill and arranged for us to go to a hotel across the road ( could not get better than that) well done the Queens.Overall the weekend went well and we enjoyed every minute

My parents haven't travelled a lot & when they have it is self catering or one night in a small B&B.
But having stayed at the queens for 3 nights has i took them away for a break.
They are planning to go again later in the year. Room is basic but VERY CLEAN. Food is excellent & also the service. Nothing was to much bother . Thank you all
