Excellent evening meals and breakfast all served to a very high standard.

We had a weekend in Llandudno on a coach trip. Never done it before, but wasn't too dissapointed. The hotel is in a great location, the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We changed rooms moving from the back with no view, to one on the side with better outlook with no fuss, which we thought was really good. The rooms are tired and in desperate need of some updating, which is sad beause this is the only down side we found. We couldn't fault the food, it was really good, good selection with waiter/waitress service and delivered nice and hot, so must score them high on this.
All in all we had a good weekend, and apart from the tired rooms issue couldn't fault anything else. The staff really were a credit to the hotel, so a big thank you to them.

Room Tip: We had room 313 on the top floor which had a double and a single bed in, and quite spacious.

Booked a short break for my Mum and myself, we have been to several other hotels here but this is now our firm favourite. It is ideally positioned for both seafront and shops, nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff and our room was comfortable, warm and spotless. The evening entertainment was a better standard than we had expected from a small hotel, and sitting in the Victorian sun room drinking G & T is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon! We are very much looking forward to staying here again soon.

Due to go on a cruise but had to cancel due to accident and subsequent surgery 1 week before departure :-( Booked short break at Marlborough so as not to completely lose 2 weeks holiday booked from work. Picked this hotel because of reviews on here. Not been to Llandudno for over 20 years or had a hotel holiday in the UK for some time. So not knowing really what to expect - we arrived at the hotel. The staff and service were excellent - entertainment on each night was very good, but having a 'good' jovial crowd helped. Food was excellent. So why no 5th star you may wonder ?? because, there is room for improvement - the rooms are very tired and old fashioned - could do with brightening up with some brighter colours and matching curtains/bedding - which can be bought quite cheaply now ! duvets would be better instead of blankets. All the light fittings in the rooms are energy saving bulbs and encased in full shades - so took 10 minutes before they were any use and even at full brightness were no use for the dressing table area. Parking also let it down as only 5 spaces at the hotel and none of them were available so we had to drive round each night to find a space. My elderly parents (mid-70's) came with us and my dad parked up the only nearby place he could (unfortunately marked for motorbikes) but he had to unload a mobility scooter, cases and my mother who suffers with alzheimers - get them all in the room safe, then return to the car to move it and despite being less than 40 minutes and displaying a valid disabled badge he was given a £70 parking ticket - great way to start the short break ! So, in a nutshell - great bright cheery excellent staff and service - let down by the tired old fashioned and very dark rooms. Bearing in mind the comments would we go to the Marlborough again - most definitely !! Would we recommend The Marlborough - Most definitely !! If on our next visit they have modernised the rooms a bit it will be a full 5 star+

We were with a coach trip and I was a bit wary about what hotel would be like, but we had no worries at all!! A good varied menu at mealtimes, waitress service, all done with a smile! The rooms were spotless .Maybe a wee bit tired regarding the décor, but otherwise no complaints.Hotel is very central for everything. We had a room with a view,301,which was nice, and unexpected,as we booked it quite late on. The staff, male and female, all dressed smartly and always ready with a friendly smile and a hello.I would certainly suggest this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: We had room 301,3rd floor,at front of Hotel.Nice view, and no noise at all.

Stayed in July for my 4th visit this year, everytime I go I think it can't get any better but it does. The food is superb, the rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff are excellent without exception. The entertainment is varied and of a high standard. The owners John and Jean and all their staff certainly know how to keep their guests happy because many return time after time. Keep up the good work.

After being so disappointed at the whitehouse we booked into the Marlborough hotel just up the road and what adifference the place was spotlessly clean nothing was too much trouble I have never met staff in any hotel, that I have visited that could be more attentive , I would recommend to anybody looking for a trouble free holiday look at the Marlborough
