“Very pleasant hotel on sea front.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

We had to book last minute after a disastrous stay at another hotel. It's always good when things get off to a good start and the welcome from the owner, Neil, was great. He personally carried one of our heavy cases up to the room for us. He made the effort of remembering everybody's first name and used them!

The hotel is located on the Craig Y Don Parade facing the sea, but we had a room looking out to the back, which didn't bother us. While the décor might not be to everyone's taste, the room was clean and comfortable. The shower was great on the first morning, but we did find it difficult to regulate the temperature the next morning.

The standard of breakfast was very good. The only slight downside is that the window to have breakfast is narrow, but I am sure they would accommodate special circumstances.

The hotel is located at the far end of town, but we enjoyed the 20 minute walk along the promenade anyway. There is a small parking space at the back of the hotel, but street parking around that end of the town isn't a problem. Can recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view.

Lovely Hotel. We stayed over the easter weekend. We were very well looked after by the owner, Neil who was very friendly, helpful and professional. We stayed in room 8 which was a bit small but the ensuite was quite big. Bed was very comfortable, crisp white sheets and pillows. Very clean and tidy throughout the hotel. The hotels Bistro was a real bonus, the food was excellent!! In fact even if you weren't staying at the hotel I would recommend dining there. All in all a very pleasant place to stay.

We spent two nights here recently- chosen because it's near relatives.
Situated on a corner position, it has great sea views towards the pier and Great Orme.It is about a 20minute stroll to the pier and town along a very pleasant flat promenade.
We booked a back room, which was quiet. We found everything to be very clean, with a tea tray, small TV and ensuite shower.
The décor is a little dated, but the welcome was warm, and the breakfast well presented, and ample portions.
We had a few problems with the shower temperature, but all in all felt we had good value for money. There was even an Easter Egg and card on each table on Easter Sunday morning! Nice touch.

A really lovely place to say with very welcoming hosts. This was booked at the last minute for my parents who wanted a couple of days away and Neil was incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and comfortable. They ate at the bistro on both nights and said the food was gorgeous, really delicious and perfectly cooked. They would definitely go again.

My partner and I stayed in room 8 sea view, for one night, we stumbled up on the hotel and thought it would do for a night(as I'm a bit of a hotel snob) but my goodness I was so surprised, and I could of stayed there for a week. Neil was so welcoming and the personal touch of always using our names when talking to us made us feel we had known him years. The rooms had everything we needed and the view was just lovely to wake up to. Breakfast was very enjoyable and just enough choice.

Arrived after the check in time and was told by Neil that our room(No 4) was not ready and could we take a walk for 25 minutes, not a great welcome after a long journey. The room was fine but could not regulate the temperature of the shower from boiling hot or cold. Told Neil at Dinner in the Bistro which was a really beautiful meal well cooked and presented. We were told that Neil would come and reset the shower which he did but unfortunately the following morning again could not shower. Told Neil discreetly and politely at Breakfast but he said that the shower was not faulty but the temp altered when other guests ran water and advised that we should shower after breakfast. We said this was unsatisfactory and could we move to another room, and would happily accept a non sea view room at the same price. He said that there were no other rooms available. After breakfast which was very good apart from being served hot water instead of the coffee ordered!, Neil came to our room and said as he did not want us to be unhappy we could move to another hotel which we duly did as not being able to take a shower had made us very unhappy. Disappointing service apart from the Bistro which was very good.
