“Great pub, super food”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

Ate here for the first time with my family having been a frequent visitor to the bar area for many years. Excellent menu with a good choice of specials. All very reasonably priced. All our meals were well presented and of good portion size. We had no room for desserts unfortunately. We had a lovely evening and the staff ade us very welcome.

“Historical Pub in Old Town”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

The Lamb is part of the history of the Old Town area of Eastbourne, and is very close to St. Mary´s Church. If you are visiting the Towner Art Gallery then he Lamb is practically on your doorstep. A varied menu, and drinks to suit.

“We visited following rave reviews from a doggie friendly web site”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Admittedly the dogs were greeted with a very warm welcome , but the food was mediocre pub grub with veggies that tasted of nothing! Not sure if they had been frozen or reheated. The atmosphere was also spoilt for us by a group of visitors who clearly had had far too much to drink and were being extremely noisy and swearing a lot. I thought at one point they were going to fight amongst each other. It is very unusual for me to give this type of review but I'm struggling to find any positives. . Parking was difficult so all in all we wouldn't rush back

“Man V Food ambitions at a price”
Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

A cosy, historic pub that does a range of footlong hot dogs? Should be a match made in heaven and it kind of is, but £8.95 for the spicy Hottie Dog was a bit steep for a super-sized bar snack - even with the bespoke footlong bun to match.

Great to see some originality and American inspiration in such an unexpected place, and fortunately the quality of the food goes some way to justifying the price. And you probably won't need seconds.
