I love staying here! It is like visiting great friends who make an effort for you to feel happy to be there.
In May 2009 my husband and I stayed for a week. Then I returned alone for a few days in August to celebrate my birthday in the one place in the world I wanted to be. That was my 5th stay at this lovely B and B.
From the greeting at the door to the charming room on the second floor, the Latimer room, Mary and Michael make you feel welcomed.
The Latimer room is as spacious as any I have seen in my 23 years of travel to the UK. It is outfitted with a sitting area by the TV, a large, comfortable queen bed, an armoire AND a closet, tea tray(with Penguins)and a dressing table. The bathroom is large and spotless.
My husband is a Full-English-Breakfast guy. He says Mary's breakfasts are the best tasting of the hundreds of English breakfasts he has eaten.
The area is very quiet-different from some accommodations in the center of town-and an easy walking distance from the train/bus station.More
