My wife and I decided at the last moment to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary at the seaside and booked the Atlanta as you could not get closer to the sea without stones in your bed! We received a very warm welcome on our arrival and although we were early had access to our room straight away. The room was good with all facilities and we felt at home straight away. Breakfast was great, full fried and all eaten looking out of the picture window at the sea. Mine hosts were a mine of information about where to eat out and where to go. There was a huge display of brochures for activities. We went on the open topped bus tour which was very good.
Altogether a wonderful weekend and we even had a golden sunset on our last evening! We were treated like friends and will be returning to the Atlanta again and recommending it to our friends.

We just needed to get away for three nights and Eastbourne ticked all the boxes for us. The Atlanta's attraction for us on their website was the luxuriously newly refurbished sea view room on the first floor which was available over last weekend. All we can say is 'Wow'!! We don't think the Atlanta website does the room full justice, you have to experience it to believe it! The new sleigh king size bed is sumptuous as is the new décor. The sea view also affords views of the pier its that close which meant that once we had parked up we didn't use our car for three days!! The owners Mark and Kirstin were attentive to all our needs from the moment we arrived to our departure. Their breakfasts were excellent and we marvelled at Marks poached eggs, just how does he get them like that! All in all a wonderful getaway weekend for us that ticked all the boxes and more. Surrounded by the big boys on the Eastbourne Prom we were so glad to be able to use Atlanta as we like to support the smaller independent businesses where we can. We would not hesitate to recommend Atlanta and especially if you are able to spoil yourself with this room!

Room Tip: The first floor refurbished sea view room was wonderful!!

We stayed at the atlanta for 3 nights in may. You are greeted on arrival by 2 of the most loveliest hotel owners we've ever met. The rooms are clean, spacious, and a lot more modernised that the photos on here show. They're working hard to make this b&b better everyday and from looking at the photos a few years ago they've come along miles further (photos posted).

You are greeted each morning with a big very tasty full English breakfast and a selection of cereals, something you will struggle to find included in most b&b prices. Especially as low as the Atlantas.

We make regular trips to Eastbourne and after staying at a few hotels/b&bs over the years over the years and not really being over impressed we will definitely be returning here year after year from now on!

We stayed at the Atlanta for one night. We were allocated room 9 (the family room at the top of the hotel!), Despite having to climb up 6 flights of stairs (the exercise did us good!) the room was fab. The king-size bed was so comfortable, and our two daughters loved the bunk beds, & had a great comfortable night's sleep. The view was fantastic, overlooking the sea & there was very little noise, even with the windows open. The room was very clean, refreshments available, and enough towels for us all after a day at the seaside. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, & the hotel staff were very accommodating. Yes the decor in the hallways was scuffed & needs redoing, but hey! We came for the stay in our lovely room, not the hallway. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Room 9 great for a family with children, although you'd need to keep an eye on younger children...

Thank you so much for your comments, which is very much appreciated.
As you have correctly pointed out, we have already identified that the staircase requires attention and is on the 'list-to-do' for the winter 2014, as it is a mammoth job to do correctly.  So far our focus has been on the rooms themselves, but we take on board your comments and should you visit again next year, you will notice a huge improvement on the communal areas.
Take care & thank you again for your lovely comments.

We like to visit the excellent Eastbourne beer festival every year, and are very glad to have found the Atlanta. Very handy for the town centre, a comfortable walk to the festival. Parking is a problem everywhere in Eastbourne, so you take your chance by car. We've been staying here each year for 6 or 7 years, and will return this year.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are mesmerising.
