“Nice accommodation, shame about en-suite facilites”

Lovely house, lovely room but let down by en-suite facilities of single room (in attic). No shower, not even mixer taps in bath and bath too narrow and short for regular sized lady. Breakfast adequate but a bit on the mingy side.

A smoothly run establishment with excellent service and food and situated close enough to the sea for those bracing walks along the promenade or further afield, without having to use the car. If it's raining, sink back into the sofa in the peace and quiet of the lounge and read a book, or if it's sunny make use of the garden.
Stayed three nights and would love to return.

IF you like to stay in a spotlesslly clean, well run, friendly, nicely decorated and conveniently situated B&B then look no further. If you insist on staying in a Large Corporate Hotel with 300 rooms and staff on minimum wage cleaning your old fashioned and overpriced room if they can be bothered, then go for that if you must.

I stayed here for 5 nights and agreed with Carol that I had to swap rooms after the first night, so I have seen 2 rooms that were equally is good as each other. Both were single rooms with lovely clean beds and decor. The first had a nice deep bath with no shower, but I didn't mind that as we agreed. The second had a great shower, temp and pressure perfect, not one of those that is like standing under a leeking gutter. They don't even charge extra for single occupancy.

The breakfasts are of good selection and quality, you may get strawberries on the buffet some days if you're lucky.

The property is nice and in a decent area, it is just off the front and 10 mins walk to pier for somoene fully able bodied. I found it excellent in all ways and the owners make you feel very welcome. All that for £35 a night, I would most certainly return here and would recommend to anyone.

Stayed just one night before setting off for the South Downs Way walk. Warm welcome, clean and very pleasant room and good breakfast. What more could you want?

Stayed at the Cherry Tree again on Saturday 9th April. Can't say anything different from the last visit. Room was spotlessly clean, beds extremely comfortable, breakfast, hot fresh and varied. One downside, nocturnal noise from next room but cannot hold this against the owners! Great find in Eastbourne and we will definately be returning, soon hopefully.

Stayed at the Cherry Tree Guest House Saturday 11 September for 1 night. Ample free parking in the Road outside and check-in was quick and efficient. Family Room was on the 2nd floor and although slightly small, was very homely, extremely clean and the extra little touches of children's DVD's and books was very welcome. Had a great night's sleep, beds were very comfortable and being at the top of the house, very quiet. En-suite was slightly on the small side but spotlessly clean and adquate for just the 1 night. Breakfast choice was varied and all cooked fresh and very tasty. Would definately recommend and will be staying again when visiting the area.

We had a room adjoining the neighbouring house which comprises bedsits. In the afternoon and evening the next door neighbour played music very loudly- we were tired after a long journey but could not have a siesta. We went to bed at 11 - the next door neighbour turned his TV off after 3 a.m. The walls are paper thin and the neighbour has his tV on very loud. I got 2 hours sleep. The breakfast was mediocre. I was hungry an hour later. The whole place seemed stingy. Not to be recommended when there are many lovely hotels in Eastbourne. We had to stop en route and snooze because we were so unrefreshed wfter our stay - we were drained.
