We booked this hotel for the bank holiday wekend, a party of 6 adults. We drove down and parked the car down a side street, which cost £1 a day, zone S. We arrived a bit early but were able to book into our room. We were in 229 - no sea view alas but the room was very clean, lovely big bathroom with Pecksniff goodies and lovely fluffy cotton towels and flannels. Bed was pretty comfy - a bit on the bouncy side, a nice new telly and tea/coffee making facitltites. The staff were all helpful and we ate in the restaurant, which was pretty good value for a 3 course meal (£23). The dining room was big and spacious and the staff very helpful. Breakfast was really nice with a choice of cereals, fruit, cake and of course, a full english breakfast (really nice bacon, not fatty like some places, hash browns, sausages, eggs ,tomatoes, mushrooms and beans. There is a bar which was nice - not too crowded and reasonable bar prices.
The hotel was opposite the bandstand and 5 mins walk from the pier. The main shopping area was within walking distance as well - it is in a good location.
All in all, a very nice stay, good food, a nice atmoshphere and pleasat staff. Would stay here again if visiting Eastbourne.
