This was our first visit to the Michelangelo, and we enjoyed an excellent pre-theatre meal here. The 3-course dinner was tasty and substantial, the service prompt and polite, and the ambience agreeable. We were able to savour the food and drink without feeling rushed but still finished in good time to get to the theatre. The set menu, which included a glass of house wine, offered excellent value for money, especially with the discount vouchers that we had printed off from the restaurant website. We would certainly come here again for pre-theatre dining and also for a longer, more leisurely meal - it would be good for romance or special occasions.

Husband cooked, wife served. It was a lovely old fashioned restaurant serving delicious home cooked food. We had calamari to start and that was little squid, fried to perfection. I had seafood pasta, and at £7.95 the pasta was an amazingly delicously cheap meal I would have paid double for! There were prawns, small and large, loads of mussels and load of squid. And loads of spaghetti! My other half had cannelloni and that was large and hot and delicious. We are so used to being surrounded by Italian chain restaurants and it's just so refreshing to eat somewhere where real Italians are cooking the food. It was cheap, it was delicious, and the service was wonderful. Would thoroughly recommend this place.

We often visit this restaurant and the food and service are always exceptional. We ate there again on Wednesday and as usual were not disappointed. Value for money is first class, and using the vouchers on the website ensure "eating out" midweek a realistic experience. We would really recommend this restaurant and being slightly on the outskirts of the town centre means parking is easier. We have recommended Michelangelo to many of our friends, and have never heard a complaint...they keep going back!
Please visit, I am sure you too will love your time there

Great food presented in a friendly and professional manner. Quality and enterprising food made my wife's birthday something that she will remember. I can recommend this restaurant to everyone who appreciates quality fine food presented in a relaxing manner without any pretensions and at a price that represents real value for money. Well done. We will return the next time we are in the area. Jim and Jane Yeomans. Cape Town.
