Just back from a 3 night stay at The Manse
This has to be one of the best places in Eastbourne
John and Anne the owners can't do enough for you the hospitality is second to none
Johns breakfast is truly wonderful
My husband said to mention the sausages (first class)
The rooms are large and spotlessly clean
Little extras like fresh flowers, sweets and fruit are provided in your room
Would recommend to you if you want a relaxing stay with wonderful friendly hosts

The best place we have ever stayed. Second visit and certainly not the last, everything was simply perfect. The people who run it are wonderful the food excellent. Its a very short walk to the town centre and seafront. Parking is easy. Everything is to the verey highest standard.

Room Tip: We have used two of the three available and they have both been stunning.

Stayed here on a single room basis over a weekend. The price was well discounted from the full room rate and so the value for money was even better. It's comfortable, spotless and very quiet, although only a few minutes' walk away from the railway station and all facilities. Hosts are friendly without being in any way intrusive. Breakfast was excellent too. Really couldn't fault it.

The B & B is immaculate and deserves its five star rating. The room we stay in, Southfields, was scrupulously clean. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of locally sourced ingredients.
Although John was there to provide a friendly welcome, we didn't see much of him throughout our stay as he was busy cooking the breakfast. Anne was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Anne recommended some great walks in the surrounding areas, and had a file of printed walks available. Nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed at The Manse for 3 nights, a combination trip for business and to see the Airbourne Airshow.
Anne and John give the warmest welcome in Eastbourne and their service is superb. We were delighted with our room-the Arlington, with it's wonderful brass bed and luxury bathroom-such a lovely haven to come back to at the end of our long busy days. Those little extra touches of comfort were just perfect.
Breakfast with local ingredients, cooked by John, with Anne's extra special service was a delight every day-we do love our food and this suited us perfectly.
The lounge with Wi-Fi and lots of local info was very handy for us with planning our days, booking theatre tickets, and loading all the photographs I took as a semi-pro photographer.

When we come on our next trip we hope to return for more of Anne and John's top-class hospitality, many thanks to them for such a lovely stay .

I stayed at the Manse for 3 nights (had booked 2 and was able to add on an extra night) in March. I was visiting my daughter who was attending school in Herstmoneaux so had some time on my own as well as with her. Anne and John were very helpful in planning where I might go and how to get there, ie while I had a car, John suggested the bus to Brighton as the parking is difficult there.
Breakfast is marvelous with John cooking and Anne serving. Enough to keep you going almost all day (maybe room for a tea in the afternoon!).
The rooms are all up a flight of wide stairs, John helped with my bag. My room was very comfortable with a sitting area, small fridge and hot beverage supplies, clean bathroom with shower and amenities.
Found the map on the website not quite detailed enough for getting to the Manse but still managed to fall onto it first go. I'd suggest getting a more detailed map or a good look at maps.google first. After getting to the Manse either Anne or John were able to provide great direction.
I'd recommend this B&b to anyone. Location very handy for both visiting Eastbourne and getting out.

Room Tip: Any one of the rooms would be fabulous.

Spent three nights at the Manse in February.Beautifully appointed bedrooms. We stayed in the Arlington.Huge bed, leather armchairs and a bath big enough for two.It was very chilly, but a log fire at breakfast was very warming.Good choice of breakfast and excellently prepared.
Not a lot to do in Eastbourne but then you can jump a bus to Brighton.

Room Tip: If you want space choose the Arlington.
