“Most pristine beach in north Penang”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

Teluk Bahang Beach--behind the old Mutiara Beach Resort--is the most beautiful stretch of pristine beach in north Penang. You won't be hassled by people trying to get you to ride a horse or jet ski, nor will you choke at sunset on the exhaust from Land Rovers pulling boats in (all problems at Batu Feringghi beach). It's pure unspoiled nature, a gently sloping beach safe for young ones to play at, and with the excellent Fisherman's Village Seafood restaurant nearby.

Beach not that great and lots of water sports going on. Pretty busy on weekend. Too many hassling you to do things

“Quiet serenity...”
Reviewed December 8, 2013

Driving into Teluk Bahung, we turned towards the beach at the main roundabout. Following the road around to the right, we came upon a small but pretty beach with fishing boats moored off the coast (see my photos).

Alighting from our vehicle we were greeted by Rahim, the manager of the small guest house on the beach where we had stopped. It is rather isolated here, with only one restaurant nearby at the roundabout (pictured).

If you really want to get away from the tourist scene of Batu Ferringhi and hang with the locals, then this just might be the place for you. Otherwise, it doesn't look like there is much to do here.
