...but a very pleasant surprise - all clean and everything worked and the breakfast was good. Spacious free open-air (if a bit rough and ready) Car Park very close by as well as parking on roadway outside dependent upon availability and time restrictions.

Room Tip: Only used Room 5; adjacent main Hallway could potentially be a noise problem but no issues during ou...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Langland Road over the Easter weekend (Friday-Sunday) as we had travelled down for a wedding reception on the Saturday evening. From our very first dealings with David and Giles, when we emailed them in advance to see if we could arrive earlier than the 3pm check in, we were thoroughly impressed and knocked back by their warm and friendly manner. Not only did they allow us to check in early, but they also very kindly offered to give us a lift to the wedding reception on the Saturday night (very much appreciated!), and gave restaurant recommendations for us for the Friday night.
The B&B has free onsite parking (less than 20metres away) and is a short 2minute stroll down the hill into the Mumbles, passing some lovely shops, bars and restaurants on the way.
Throughout our stay, David and Giles really were the perfect hosts, and their customer service is second to none - there if we needed them, but not intrusive.
We stayed in room 4 (American themed) and it was stunning - from the Tommy Hilfiger bedding, to the luxurious bathroom, and even a very funky fur rug in the room!
As for the breakfast..... well what a great way to start the day - fresh juices, cereal, pro biotic yoghurts, tea/coffee and the best fry up I've had in a long time. I could get used to that more often (much to the annoyance of my girlfriend!).
David and Giles, thank you for making the Easter weekend a thoroughly enjoyable/memorable one, and one that we will be looking to repeat in the not too distant future.
All the best
Chris and Chloe

All of the positive things expressed in the other reviews of this B&B are without any exaggeration TRUE. We too can add our appreciation of the thought and work that David and Giles have put into creating a thoroughly welcoming and enjoyable place to stay in Mumbles. We can say, as many others have done, that this has been the best B&B experience we have ever had (and we've had many), so much so we have pencilled in two more visits in 2015. Thank you again, David and Giles for making our Easter break a special one.

1st time visitors to Mumbles and Oystermouth and have to say what a real gem of a B&B, We stayed in Room 3 on the front which was spotless and huge with a fab en-suite and facilities normally found in a top hotels.
Both David & Giles were great hosts and provided a fab breakfast for us which set us on our way for the day but managed to get a great lunch at nearby Landland Bay and then a stunning cliff top walk across to Caswell Bay, we then caught the bus back which virtually dropped us off by the front door.
17 Langland is also just round the corner from the lovely area of Oystermouth offering a superb variety of places to eat and drink.
We are already planning our next trip back to Mumbles and will definitely be going back to 17 Langland Rd.

This is one place I'd like to keep secret - but that wouldn't be fair to David and Giles. We had a lovely room, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated (we especially liked the Union Jack mirror!), with a good assortment of teas, biscuits, water and even wine. At David's suggestion, we went to the Langland Brasserie for dinner and ordered the Seafood platter for two - it was delicious! Breakfast at the B&B was delicious too, piping hot and with no wish left open. Parking is free and just up the road a bit. Our one regret: we could only stay the one night!

Room Tip: Our room was right at the top (a bit of a climb) but looked out over the road to a little park. It w...

We stayed for a single night and wished we were staying for longer. What a fabulous bed and breakfast. The room and shower room were spotlessly clean and beautifully presented, excellent décor. There was everything you would need in the room, drinks tray with tea, coffee, biscuits and wine. David and Giles were terrific hosts and recommended P.A.'s Wine Bar for a meal just a short walk away. We shall be back.

We stayed with David and Giles for one night in April. They very kindly offered to pick us up from Swansea station but we declined, they did give us a lift to our next destination the following morning though which was much appreciated.
Giles greeted us and was friendly booking us in, he gave us some advice for our evening on where to go and what to do.
The room was very clean and tidy and we enjoyed the complimentary wine. Breakfast was superb.
The B&B was located very close to the local shops and the beach and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
